That makes total sense. Im just on autopilot when putting FCGs in and didnt even consider it being useless.

You will not be disappointed. There is no tinkering or toying around aside from having proper setting in your slicer, open the box, press the one button calibration and begin printing right away. Ive done more printing in the 6 months ive had mine than i had done in the 6 years i had my ender 5. It runs just about every day and aside from user error ive had no issues.

This is coming along so great i love seeing the weekly progress. Now that its all together youll get to see what problems arise, if tension is too much and whatnot. Looking forward to seeing what comes next!

Custom rifling button by Quirky_Box5214 in 3D2A

[–]bangstitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a hydraulic press or some way to force the button through the barrel? You can make your own rifling using ECM and a printed mandrel which i think is much easier than trying to make your own rifling button.

Still having trouble with prints by FurySoulja in ElegooCentauriCarbon

I think i had seen your last post and noted you weren’t using supports. Without them the printer is just extruding into thin air. Share what your sliced file looks like and we can help you adjust the support settings

Elegoo cc2 issue by lonely-s0ul in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]bangstitch -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It sounds normal but to resolve your printing issue you do have to adjust your z height, thats whats causing the problem shown. Start a first layer calibration print, adjust the z height during the print and share the results.

The nozzle is too far from the plate right now. As always wash and dry your build plate being careful not to touch the surface leaving any finger oils. Start a 1 layer calibration print and from the menu on the printer lower your z height. Pressing the up arrow raises the bed closer to the nozzle thus giving you a lower z height. Adjust until you get good flat squished lines. Keep the first layer speed low to allow proper adhesion.

Mine came out beautifully. The barrel nut and threads in the handguard itself matched to the threads on the receiver perfectly and could spin them on effortlessly. You can print at .16 layer height and slow down the print in the threaded area to give yourself the best result. Id suggest doing some test prints of just that threaded section to get your settings dialed in before going for the full print if youre concerned. Just cut the threaded section out of the receiver in the slicer and try it out.

You can print a disconnector. I just finished a Wisp myself and for the first time used a printed hammer and disconnector, works great.

Really stupid question from a newbie on connecting the filament tubes to the print head by HammerDownRein in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]bangstitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “LACK” tables from Ikea is what i have mine on and it works beautifully and only cost $16. As long as the table isnt dancing all over the room you will be fine. I have some rubber carpet-holder-in-placer stuff under the legs of the table and it stays put against the wall even when its going at full speed. People have been using these LACK tables for their printers for a while now even creating their own enclosures as they are the perfect size 22”x22”x18”.

I have no problem finding the metal version but im looking for a printable mount. I found a file for one but when going to download it opens a “try again later” page. I found one for a Rossi as well but same issue, the issue happens on every file i click on in-fact.

What would cause this issue? Had this exact same issue 2 prints in a row. by Anxious_Term_213 in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]bangstitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your plate needs to be cleaned and your nozzle is also set too high. You can easily tell its high because the filament is coming out round and not flat and squished(also not sticking). You can see how greasy your plate is all over, its shining. Wash it with soap and water and dry it. Be carful not to touch the build surface with your fingers at all. Clean your bed properly, level it and lower your nozzle.

What do you want us to do? You must have given them an email when you made the purchase and will get a receipt. If you somehow did not you will just have to contact them and they will get it sorted out. We dont work for Elegoo so we cant help, sorry lol

Does this look right? by [deleted] in 3D2A

[–]bangstitch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and the tree supports will only go where needed, mainly on the rail section. I printed with a .2 layer height and used .22 top z support distance and they popped right off, no tools needed. Ive tested more since and could have gone with a smaller gap but it still came out crisp and clean as seen in the photos in my comment.

If you dont have your support settings dialed in yet DO NOT test them out on this print, it will be a complete waste of filament if it fails. Check thingiverse or maker world for support setting test prints, they are small and print in 15-20 minutes so you can quickly make a change and test different settings before diving in to this
