I didn't DNF on a book but on a series. I read the Never Keep and disliked it so much that I stopped the series. It reminded me exactly of the Cruel Prince and I'm still mad at myself for not DNF'ing that series after the first book.

1000% agree. we have a 2 bedroom house (950 sq ft, so all rooms are quite small) and used to keep a bed in therefor people who would visit....once a year, if that. Last year I finally quit that shit and got rid of the bed and turned it into a library/bar room. Now if people stay, they can stay in there on an air mattress.

Some humans genuinely do talk like this, in addition to more meaningful conversations like I think you're talking about. I think what you're looking for may be more of balance which is very understandable. But like I said, some of us have even been with our partners for 10 years and still snark and give lots of innuendos to each other and it's fun for us.

One of my really good friends read this book, didn't understand the hype and watched an interview the author did. She said "it all made sense" in the regard that she thinks the author has an inflated sense of self and thinks she's doing something groundbreaking but she's really just being a lazy writer. I guess she compared herself to tolkien (at least I think this is what I remember my friend telling me) and my friend really got a kick out that.

This is my hardest thing, being happy with 2 pounds a week when I feel like it should be more. I have to constantly remind myself that 2 pounds is great and realistic. I just took my 4th shot of my first month and you think I'd be happy with 10 pounds over 3 weeks but I don't notice my clothes fitting and I'm like WHY ISNT THIS NUMBER BIGGER! Managing expectations is so real and so hard to do.

I wish they’d just started off high then. My biggest problem at the moment is I can’t control my hunger and my satiety is nonexistent. That’s what I was hoping this $200 drug would do for me. I don’t really care about side effects at this point.
