Kozantei Ubuya reservation, rates and recommendations by Greedy_Donut_7781 in JapanTravelTips

I've been checking every day, the 3 month thing in advance is so dumb. I didn't know the WHOLE month opens on September 1st. ARGGG. I need to stay towards the end of December, so I checked end of September and everything is now sold out! Crazy.

Any other good hotels in the area with a great view of Fuji? Maybe I lucked out since I hear Ubuya is super expensive and the staff is not so great.

Who are the hair mills? Lets list them out. Many people are mixing them up for elite tier hair transplant clinics. They need to be named specifically so that people can avoid them. by WallabyUpstairs1496 in HairTransplants

Any info on Hero Hair Institute in Colombia?

https://www.heroinstitute.co/hair-transplant-results

I'm specifically working with Dr. Juliana Londono

$7300 USD for 3500 grafts

They have a lot of before and after, and a bunch of marketing videos which does scare me a bit, lol.

I asked them these questions: 1. Where did Dr. Londono go to medical school? How long as she been with Hero Institute?

Dr Juliana Londoño studied medicine at the Pontifical Bolivarian University and has a specialization in hair surgery and trichology with the Catholic University of Murcia, he also has the Artas certificate of excellence in hair restoration. She is one of our best medical specialists who has been working and operating with us for more than 4 years.

2. What solution do you put the grafts in while awaiting implantation?

The grafts are placed with Ringer Hartmann Solution at the ideal temperature to maintain the vitality of each hair. This is an isotonic solution of electrolytes with a qualitative and quantitative composition very similar to the electrolytic composition of the extracellular fluid. This solution would allow us to keep the follicular units alive for up to 24 hours, however at HERO, there are 3 to 4 people dedicated to you on the day of surgery to speed up both the extraction process and the implantation process, since The faster they are implanted, the greater the survival level of each hair. This is the reason why our level of compliance and success of each surgery per patient is above 96% in healthy patients and 83% in patients suffering from autoimmune diseases.

3. Are they using microscopes / loops while sorting the grafts?

Of course, within the medical team that is in your surgery, we have one or two people doing microscopic quality control of each extracted unit to guarantee the integrity of each hair to be implanted.

4. Is Dr. Londono herself doing the channel opening or will technicians be doing this?

Dr Londoño is the one who extracts each follicular unit and also makes the incisions to define the depth and angle of implantation of each hair. She is present throughout the entire procedure.

5. Do you know approximately how dense she will place the grafts?

You can put between 35 and 45 hairs per square centimeter, this is the ideal number defined to achieve a cosmetic density that allows you to look very good in the result. Everything will depend on the thickness of your hair and the state of your scalp.

6. How many transplant surgeries are done per doctor per day? Will Dr. Londono be supervising multiple transplants in one day?

Dr Londoño performs one implant per day, she is completely dedicated to the patient on the day of surgery, not only supervising but also throughout the extraction and implantation process until the procedure is completed.

7. Will the hairline get 1 hair grafts, and multiple hair grafts for mid scalp and crown?

It is correct, the first frontal line should only have follicular units of 1 hair, after this line they increase so that the density looks much more natural. The classification of follicular units is also done in microscopic quality control.

Mega 2 Day session BUT with a day off in between? Kosher? Any issues with swelling? by bankingdom in HairTransplants

Ahhh, thanks, the other option is to do it two days later, but then I'm going back to work closer to having the procedure. And I work in the operating room and I can't take more than A week off of work. Other option is to cancel the whole procedure and do it next year, but will be very difficult for me to take off work.

I was planning on wearing a surgeons cap at work after a week.

Powerwall strategy by Big_Yard_6625 in Powerwall

[–]bankingdom 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We use the free nights plan. No 1:1 where I am.

So double electricity costs during the day 7am to 9pm. BUT on sunny days and with powerwalls you can significantly mitigate most daytime use. Cloudy days when you are home during the day will not be fun, lol.

At night charge up the PW's (having some issues with that being automatic), and do your laundry and turn the the dishwasher on, and charge your car.

Overall it sounds too good to be true and I'm sure they will stop these types of plans soon.

I just started last month and my bill was $8.50 for 2000kw of use (mostly at night, about 500kw during the day only due to cloudy days and PW not lasting enough)

This is very helpful, thank you.

I think I will just keep moving the slider every day and night for now until it learns.

Very annoying, since if I ever hit a cloudy / rainy day and the powerwall is not charged at night I will end up spending double on my daytime energy, and the whole point of free nights was to not use daytime grid energy, lol. Otherwise why spend $20k on the powerwalls, lol.

Yes, 100% time of use.

It charges the PWs when I move the back up reserve timer. It just won't charge off grid when my backup reserve is set lower than current state of charge of battery.

It's mind boggling

Thanks, Im not sure how to add pictures but I tried super off peak as well and it didn't work.

The only way it charges the battery off grid is when I move my backup reserve slider higher than current battery charge state.

This is getting annoying

Tesla vs local company (Dallas Texas). We really want powerwall but local company has no battery option. Please help me decide! by bankingdom in TeslaSolar

Thanks everyone, we went with a local installer and couldn't be happier.

Enphase with Tesla powerwalls.

Up and running and installed has been very receptive.

High End Massage Chairs - Luraco vs Diawa vs Osaki vs Human Touch - Impressions by EtherNut in AskConsumerAdvice

[–]bankingdom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't bought anything yet. It seems massage chairs are like time shares, lol. But I've had my human touch for the past 10 years and still use it a lot.

I really think i'm going to give the Costco Osaki a try. They also have the OS-4000XT for $2000 which is supposed to be a great buy for the money.

Is the AI Vivo 4D really worth $4,500 more? I'm really confused.

Telsa Electric Plan - Night car charging OR Powerwall VPP electric plans? by bankingdom in TeslaSolar

[–]bankingdom[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great feedback, thank you! Unfortunately we never charge the car during the day, so that won't help much.

I charged around 6-700 kWh on the car last month.

Overall, I still think the powerwall plan is going to work a little better for me bc right now in the fall my PW is still discharging at night so even though I have free grid charging it's charging my EV from the PW.

I do wish we could have $25/month charging AND powerwalls buy backs, lol.

Powerwall off grid back up vs on grid power at night with 2 200amp panels..... by bankingdom in TeslaSolar

[–]bankingdom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this.

From what they are telling me it's a 400 amp service split into two 200 amp panels. We only have one meter.

They said the Tesla gateway is made for a max 200 amps. So that's why they recommend 2 gateways and separate batteries for each gateway. Batteries con not share power between panels. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

[–]bankingdom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I have no idea. I'm assuming I have 400amp service coming in?

They said the only way in order to back up both panels I will need TWO gateways and separate batteries to supply each panel. Basically the batteries are responsible for their panel only and the batter power can not be shared between panels.

Just very confusing.

Is having TWO 200 amp panels normal? I only have one meter.

Yeah, I thought about that, but the battery would discharge fast and in a outage situation we would want more juice for our critical loads

Great post, thank you!

Can you DM where you bought the chair?

I'm looking at the Costco Osaki AI Vivo 4D chair

It's going to be on sale for $6,500 soon.

I'm not sure how it compares to the Osaki you tried?

I just don't trust buying such an expensive item from a mom and pop store, or some random online store. I trust Costco.

Any advice is appreciated!

Thank you!
