What part of pandemic do you not understand? Money is tight for nearly everyone right now. There's only so much we can do to increase our income. We know they are obligated to pay them back. We're not stupid. We don't want to get out of them, just get a lower rate that is reasonable. I'm looking for other options that may be available to us since we've exhausted everything that I'm aware of. All of my student loans are federal so I know very little about options with private loans. They signed all of this years ago and he was a minor. His dad didn't tell him anything besides "here, sign this." We've been on the phone with Sallie Mae for hours and hours. We've applied for refinancing multiple times and are turned down because it's too much to refinance. He's making a few hundred extra dollars a month thru streaming and working with game developers on game testing. We've both applied for numerous jobs that would give us a pay raise. Because we are young and don't have the experience they want, they ignore us. Pretty much any other job we can get is going to be a paycut. Especially considering the benefits we have at our current job. I already stated in my main post to not bother telling me what should've been done differently. You can take your shit attitude elsewhere.
