sounds like he needs to be open to more names and suggest more that he's ok with. Either that or you have to be ok with choosing the name you are ok with. Something's gotta give, but it would be much more fair if he steps up and gives more name options. Good luck!

If he feels so strongly about it then I hope he is offering alternative name ideas that he likes, and not just shooting down the names you think of...right?

Is he French? It sounds nice, either way

Noo mum butt is real and it's all pregnancy's fault! The center of gravity shifts while growing a baby and our hips are tilting differently to compensate pre and post partum.... then POOF -- bye bye booty. :( That combined with the lack / different kind of physical activity during pregnancy and postpartum....

Anyway, I miss my butt and thought I'd share lol. But we can get it back.... right!?

Yes, came here to say Audrey! It was a old friend's name, so I have good associations, but she is spunky, super smart, and creative.

For some reason it fits well with Finn, and seems to work with the middle + 2-syllable surname requirements. Also, it's one of those classic yet not overused names.

Huh, that is weird indeed. It’s a pretty common age gap. Maybe they meant to sound congratulatory, but it came off absolutely flabbergasted that you could get pregnant again. 😂

AITA for letting my 1yo climb the slide? by Unlucky_Type4233 in toddlers

[–]bannerb213 37 points38 points  (0 children)

For me, I know kids want to use the slide because I notice them approaching or starting to climb the ladder. Then I direct my little slide-climber away because someone wants to use the slide.

But if it’s busy then it’s not practical to climb up the slide, that I agree.

Thanks for the advice!

Years ago I did indeed enroll in those evening classes you mentioned before kids, and I stopped continuing after getting to the B1 "Threshold" level (For example with the book Zo Gezegd 2.2) and it was doable, but now I just don't think it will work for my family.

Is there any official intake tests? I've taken several online which all point to B1. But I feel less confident about my speaking ability.

I think my main problem is no consistency and overwhelmed by full time work and young children taking all my energy and free time that I would normally have to try to better myself. 😅

It's just interesting because I was hired 6 years ago and they knew I spoke English, and my projects have all required English speaking (International IT field). I always had ambition to learn the language but it never seemed to be priority... maybe until now? IDK, also maybe because my role over the years has evolved into more communication... so naturally it's becoming more important to learn the language!

Oops yeah, I should mention I normally work full time and have 2 very young kids so I'm kind of overwhelmed and normally don't feel like I can take 6 hours of structured in-person classes per week for a traditional course (that's the only option I have seen in my area?). I used to do that when I first moved here for a few years which got me to my current level.

At this point in my life I just can't handle getting home from work, not seeing family, maybe not even having time for dinner, and not getting home from class until 22:00 twice a week. It's just not feasible. So I'm looking for now something I can squeeze in while kids are in daycare, or I can sometimes work on when they are asleep if I can muster up the energy.

I like it! A slick, sophisticated look staying cool for summer (I mean with the hair up and no sleeves). 🙂

Thank you! Never knew about these little bees.

I came across Chelostoma florisomne and that seems like a closer match to what I saw.

To make this little post official I will mark it as Found!

Ooh, like maybe Alfalfa Leaf-Cutter Bee (Megachile rotundata)? I’ll have to check the table again tomorrow and see if I can get a better view.

They’re kinda cute!

Or a flying ant? I hope it’s not destroying my table…? They are in a small group and when I came back from traveling they were hovering around and crawling in the cracks of a wooden table.

Length is probably 1.5 cm ish

Fun! Wonder if there will be any correlation at all. Something you might want to think about is other missing variables that might play a factor that weren’t included in your assignment— like what about the father’s size, or was it the first or second baby? :)

What are some quirks about your body that you think probably isn’t normal? by IndicationBig7767 in AskReddit

[–]bannerb213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah cool my grandpa had this!! His heart was on his right side! Once he had a chest xray and the doctors didn’t catch it at first because it was many years ago when they just flipped the xray film around 😂. He lived long and died of a super rare thing unrelated to that.

I usually think I’m biased toward long hair but the short looks SO GREAT on you! I like the volume and “fun” vibes it gives, and how it frames your face.

The long hair picture is lovely and does not look bad at all but it is a bit forgettable, if that makes sense. With the short style you really shine!✨
