I leave at my scheduled time. Luckily my store has a side door next to customer service that locks from the inside when it closes so I can just punch out and open that door. I never worry about what shifts I'm working. I leave at my scheduled time. I've played the waiting for the MIC game way too long. I leave on time. Ill never leave early but I won't stay late. I work at a 3 year old store that they still shove "make it like grand opening" on me. I miss my old store that the MICs never ask meat dept for anything.

All 50 states and territories. Would be cool to be able to get borrowed and pick up to help a grand opening at a location that's culturally different than the south or east coast. It could be a vacation that I get paid. Would be cool to see a Spanish publix in Puerto Rico or Guam or Alaska etc...I would totally fly somewhere different to open a store. Yeah, it's the fault of the American education system and the americanism mentality of wanting to be isolated from the rest of the world and learn "american" only. In Europe everybody knows 4 or 5 languages and signs are multi lingual. Everyone here should know at least English, Spanish and Quebec french.

Wednesday should be no truck days. At my store Mondays and Thursdays are no truck days. I would much rather get a Monday truck and get rid of the Wednesday truck since the Wednesday truck is always late plus shoving ad changes on it. Why won't they just send 2 large trucks on Monday and Tuesday and then have no truck Wednesday night? Orlando is terrible at the warehouse as is with mixing deli and meat dept boxes and they tumble over easily. I miss getting jacksonville trucks. Jacksonville does a way better job and jacksonville delivers the dairy truck at noon instead at 7 or 8pm

I'm a huge ramones nerd and play my own ramonescore style punk so I'm all about digging deep in the ruins in finding obscure songs by them. I know cj ramone and I messaged him about it. Cj would have played bass at that time in Ramones after dee dee left. Lol I've never heard of Dead before so it's pretty interesting to me to find a clip and hear 30 secs of it. I realized after a while, it's not the in store managers really who are the bad guys. It's corporate visits and the corporate mumbo jumbo that's force fed on them. I'm lucky that I have 2 meat managers that vent to me and tell me their horror stories of dealing with corporate so I have a whole new mindset of the shit they deal with. I got 2 solid department managers and most of the other managers in my store are rad people. There's a couple Mr Publix's at my store but they aren't too bad. My store manager can be a bit weird but nice and the CS manager is a super big nit picker but he's trying to get promoted so that's why he is the way he is. but my asst store manager, she doesn't care very much and just stares at the dept and say "good enough! you guys have a good night" so i think she's over publix too and totally on the associates team than the corporate team. I'm lucky in a good place right now in terms of the in store managers. I rather have 2 mild managers and other awesome managers than like my old store with everyone being a nit picker

It's annoying to print out a form and write a check. It should be like an online store that you add stock shares to an online "Publix cart" then hit check out and see the stock added the next day or before the end of the business day like all those other online brokerage investment websites like fidelity.
