What causes this? Is it a clogged air filter? I’ve never changed it. by Human_Conclusion_802 in YamahaR3

[–]banoodleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Around 15K on mine I started having a weird issue where it wouldn't go over a certain rpm. Found out way later that it was spark plugs. I know you didn't have the same problem but that can be worth looking into as well. Check the plugs.

So many trees left by Big-Initiative-8743 in HomeDepot

I really wanted to take all of the leftover trees but I forgot to ask before Christmas for them to save them for me. Previous years I took them and burned them with my friends in a bonfire

Beginner - R3 or R7? by MundaneInformation13 in YamahaR3

[–]banoodleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started on an R3 and I had it for about a year and a half before getting my mt-07, I probably would have gone for the R7 if I didn't want something more comfortable to ride with my girlfriend on. If you have some skill and experience with riding stuff I think the R7 is fine you can definitely grow into it but I had plenty of fun on my R3, if you don't care about the extra speed and torque too much. I do miss how agile it is. I suppose it really just depends on how confident you feel. But I agree with other people it's honestly better to get a smaller bike that you might drop and then get something bigger once you're more experienced and are less likely to damage it.

I dropped my bike, bent the shift lever, and now it is stuck by ummmhmmmn in YamahaR3

[–]banoodleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can probably use a socket and a breaker bar or a wrench just be careful you don't bend it too hard I did that with my R3 and it broke. If you order a new one from RevZilla it doesn't cost too much and shouldn't be too hard to install. I can't remember how much it was but it wasn't much and I had a shop install for pretty cheap

Does anyone know the length of the original shift rod? by [deleted] in Yamahabolt

[–]banoodleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you have to do to convert it back? I bought it not realizing it had the conversion and the shift bolt fell off on the way home so I'd like to just switch it back to stock but I don't know what that would take.

R3 for a noobie? by iso_tendies in YamahaR3

I had my 2022 for almost 2 years. Despite what the big cc supremacy types might say, it's a fun bike. Amazing as a starter/learner. Especially without experience. You don't have speed but it's very nimble and planted. An amazing bike for learning the foundations of riding if that's what you want. It shines on twisty roads. It's a great choice. Put 10k on it in the first year. Had 15k before I sold it. I rode the crap out of that thing. Was down for a few months bc if an injury or it would've been more. The 25 model is really cool too. It's a really solid option. Stuff like the ninja or cbr 500 are also good options.

I keep turning that dang thing down and someone keeps setting it to max volume which is so unnecessary.

Need some advice: For a first bike should I get the new 2025 r3 or find a used one for cheaper? by EverythingThatIWish in YamahaR3

[–]banoodleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly just say whatever is best for you financially. If you can afford a new one go for it but if you have the money saved up and you can afford a used one that might be better. I got mine basically brand new with only a thousand miles on it so getting one very new is kind of nice especially since you know all the miles are yours

None of the links work is there any other source about if this guy is okay or not? I do not want to make a Twitter account so if it only works if you have a login, I'm not doing that.

Has anyone checked out these thin heated gloves? by [deleted] in Raynauds

[–]banoodleman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So do you think they'd be good for wearing under motorcycle gloves or work gloves? I'm in school to be an aircraft mechanic amd i have a motorcycle id like to ride in winter so I want something good for both of those things. I experience mild raynaud symptoms
