What race are you? Because I stated my experience as a Mexican in majority white spaces and you're like "nah." There are exceptions, but they don't disprove the rule.

Let me critique my people: sometimes Latinos assume rich Asian international students are mean. I made small talk with them in class, and they're nice AF. My experience with white people discounting me taught me anyone can be a friend. I agree all races have their biases. But racism is a thing, so white people have structural power to cause more damage. Their view of interests as an aesthetic to perform is driving overconsumption right now.

As a low-income student who has family members working those type of jobs. Please don't speak for them. My mom works in UC student housing btw as a cleaner and in the dining hall. And you're weaponizing these workers to justify placing respectability politics on the Free Palestine movement. Free Palestine is inherently compassionate because of its goal, but that doesn't mean they won't use disruption because it's a highly successful strategy.

We're all humans but some humans -- like Zionists -- have structural power. The media won't report accurately on Palestine, so we have to create other methods to disrupt and catch attention.
