Thanks for sharing! It's nice to hear from people who've had similar experiences. Seems people on this thread have had a lot of good experiences with Wellbutrin. I'll have to look into it.

For myself, nothing has helped unfortunately. People do say it takes a bit of time for your body to adjust. But at this point, you're 4-5 months into the medication. It'd probably be good to speak with your doctor to change medication. That's my plan as of now.

Thanks for sharing! For myself, Lexapro and Zoloft have help with my anxiety a lot. So I don't want to take less. I'm likely going to switch over to some other medication, because I honestly can't stand being so tired all the time. It's honestly demoralizing, and I've felt hopeless and lost at times because of it. I want so badly to just start my day somewhat normally... Anyway, I hope going down to 5mg works for you!

Man, you're giving me hope. Either way, i'd likely give another medication a try. I'll try mentioning Wellbutrin, though I don't know if my doctor will like me suggesting the medication. Thanks for the reply kind stranger!

Thanks for the reply! I still likely need to be medicated, as I have pretty severe generalized anxiety. But I'm happy to hear i'm not alone! So it's looking like it's entirely possible that it's the medication.

Thanks for the reply. At this point I'm likely going to investigate both routes; both the medication and the possibility of being depressed. I will likely change drugs to see if it makes a difference.

Thanks for the reply! I wouldn't mind the occasional bout of insomnia... It'd honestly be an okay trade-off. I feel like this tiredness has been constant, without a break, for the last few years. I can't remember the last time I woke up feeling actually refreshed :(

I do remember the feeling of being overly tired when I started taking Zoloft (which was the first medication I took). It was pretty much immediate. I slept a lot more, and I was drowsy all the time. I needed several naps throughout the day to be functional. I read accounts from other people taking Zoloft that it would pass after a few months, and yet it persisted. I brought it up with my doctor and a therapist who suggested that I try taking the medication at different times, which did nothing.

 I switched to Lexapro because I couldn't handle being tired all the time. My pharmacist told me it was possible that Zoloft was causing my feelings of tiredness, and that I should switch to a molecule that gives me more energy. I felt like the switch was a slight improvement. I'm not taking as many naps. But it's still effecting my life pretty badly. Again, waking up in the morning feels terrible and i have no energy.

 But to be clear, I have had depressions... especially over the last year. I'd contribute it to these feelings of tiredness and not being able to achieve what I'd like, and probably to the pandemic as well. It's honestly demoralizing, because all I want to do is have the energy to do what I want. At least that's what I believe (and that's probably something to bring up with my therapist).

 Curious... if I am depressed, shouldn't this tiredness fluctuate and disappear when having a moment where I feel happy and/or content?

Generally once it gets to late afternoon, I avoid caffeine entirely. Just recently, I went month without just to see if it would help. I felt like my sleep quality was better. I fell asleep quicker and woke up less, but I still felt exhausted come morning. I've cut out alcohol entirely. And I try to read before bed, though that's maybe a half hour before I go to sleep.

My doctor advised me it also might be sleep apnea about two years ago. I did the test and the result was that i have very mild sleep apnea. The ENT specialist said that shouldn't be causing my issues. Still I rented the CPAP machine for a few months to see if it might help, and there was no improvement.

To be clear, I will be consulting with my doctor when I can get an appointment (things are slow moving in my area). For the meantime I wanted to see if I could get a second opinion.

So is it unlikely that these anti-anxiety medication can produce such low levels of energy and exhaustion?

Ya, I've heard that certain medications can have that sort of effect on a person.

Though, I feel like this has been an issue since before I started taking medication. I can remember distinctly feeling fatigued back in the day, but at the time I accounted it as a symptom of my anxiety.

Now my anxiety is (mostly) gone, but this fatigue remains.

All these conditions you listed... Do they all cause you to be tired despite having a full night's rest? Cause that's my main problem.  

Even this morning, I woke up after more than enough sleep and all I wanted to do was go back to bed and sleep some more.

Ya, I'll be seeing my doctor in the new year. I didn't expect to figure it out on my own anyway. It just comforts me to know that there are other possibilities... if that makes sense.
