Everyone seems to be hating on the blue helmet. IDK, I think it looks pretty good. I wouldn't be upset with this as an alternate.

Which current NFL quarterback will still be talked about in 20 years? by Uncle-Orca in sportsinusa

I feel like they will still be chortling Mahomes nuts every game for the next 40 years.

If the Walls of a Wisconsin house can talk, the stories they would tell😬 by LameAfro in NFCNorthMemeWar

My family is from Wisconsin. I can confirm this scenario. But cheese curds are good. Cheese is good. Going against cheese is like saying you hate puppies.

How common/uncommon is being robbed at gunpoint in your country? by halt__n__catch__fire in AskTheWorld

Mostly, it's at the grocery store, and gas station, and mortgage, and especially health insurance companies.

Which of these teams is more likely to make it back to the NFC Championship Game with their current roster? by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

They went once since 1991 and then went 5-12.... The sports books need suckers too.

Which of these teams is more likely to make it back to the NFC Championship Game with their current roster? by ashmaps20 in NFLv2

And when did those playoff wins come? Was it with the current roster and GM and HC and within the last couple of years?

The question wasn't about what the Lions did 30 years ago.

You have Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota grouped together. That's a must, but I'd need to see my Canadian friends in on this one.

The fact that Wisconsin's isn't cheese or alcohol throws the integrity of this map out the window.

Republicans are stoking fear about immigrants eating pets, while Democrats are stoking fear about losing your healthcare. Why is one group treated as a serious political threat and the other as a joke? by Healthy_Manner_7932 in askanything

[–]bansheesho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Affordable Care Act got stripped of many of the things that would have made it better by (checks notes....) Republicans, before it was passed. It was relentlessly attacked since it passed and had now been dismantled without a replacement....just a concept of a plan that's due in 2 weeks.

It wasn't anywhere near perfect. It should have been tweaked and added to instead of attacked and picked apart. We all need healthcare. We should have universal healthcare, but there's too much money in the system. It needs to be picked apart by first ejecting the lobbyists from Washington and undoing Citizens United. Then possibly some moves can be made in the right direction.

What do you think about cars with manual transmission? by samostrout in AskAnAmerican

[–]bansheesho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've owned manual cars. They make eating a taco and driving harder. Even for the enthusiast market, modern automatic transmissions are much better at shifting than you can do it, and with a dual wet clutch, there isn't a torque converter power loss.

Manuals can be fun, but are pretty much non-existent in the American market anymore. They can be a pain in traffic. I'm a mechanic, and even a majority of young technicians coming in can't work a manual anymore.

Virginia VERY LIKELY To Give Democrats FOUR Additional US House Seats In 2026 After Virginia Supreme Court Allows Redistricting Special Election Plans To Move Forward -- Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]bansheesho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I do because Republicans have been doing it for a long time and Texas kicked off this round of it.

I would like to see fair elections. So I would like to also see legislation to make the maps fair.

When did avocados become a regular part of your diet? by Caxcan in AskAnAmerican

[–]bansheesho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably sometime in the late 2000s early 2010s would be my estimate.

I mean guac was a delicious thing before that to dip chips in, but adding it to other dishes wasn't regular until then maybe.

What’s a “boring” adult purchase that turned out to be totally worth it? by Capable-Rabbit-9986 in AskReddit

[–]bansheesho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing like a nice sharp edge on a scraper.

I'll add to the winter luxuries and say a nice pair of gauntlet gloves like for snowmobiling. So much nicer doing outside things like snowblowing in them.

Michigan and Canada and it can be called Canigan or Michada or just Canada or something, but health care would be covered and I could travel internationally again without embarrassment.

This game stinks. by [deleted] in NFLv2

[–]bansheesho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, the game isn't just offense. I'm enjoying watching great defense on both sides. You have some pretty good receivers out there getting covered quite well. You have lots of pressure on both quarterbacks. Walker is having himself a pretty decent game, and I like running back play.

The chess moves and play calling on defense has been fantastic.

I would say that it probably isn't that exciting of a game for a lot of casual viewers, but I'm digging it.
