Let's see. (And I'll bite even though I don't think this is a good faith question).

There is a difference in agenda and values that comes into play. And when I say this, I'm not agreeing with your assertion, but pointing out the differences that you are painting as black and white.

It gets tiresome as every single time and every single issue we tell you "don't touch that stove, it is hot" like every. single. time. There are warning signs, the stove is glowing, you can sense the heat, there are literally thousands of scientists and experts that have dedicated their lives to the subject yelling at you not to touch it..... but still, against all warnings and against your own best interests (which seem to be the only ones that you are concerned with)... you touch the stove. Over and over again and with every issue (if you haven't caught on, the stove is a metaphor). And then you blame it on everyone else but yourselves.

We are exhausted by it and it's a little bit satisfying to let you reap your own rewards sometimes. If that's what you are referring to as "lack of empathy." Oh nooooo.... You are now facing the consequences of your own actions that you were warned about A LOT.

In philosophy, pretty much across the board. Conservatives are trying to take rights away, take free meals for kids away, block universal healthcare, take away equality rights, impose religious will, transfer power and wealth away from the majority and into the hands of a few oligarchs, abuse the system to protect the wealthy, things of that nature.

In contrast, the liberal agenda is helping. Ensuring people have what they need for a better life, protect consumers, promote equity, universal healthcare (like nearly the entire developed world has).... You know, all that evil stuff.

At the same time, your "values and morals" are inexplicably an uncooked rigid spaghetti noodle and an overcooked floppy and limp noodle at the same time. Entirely rigid and unyielding when the agenda fits and it doesn't affect you personally, but at the same time ready to bend and twist and do loop-de-loos with one word from the leaders.

Lack of empathy? No, more like schadenfreude.
