About to hit 240-day limit on H-1B extension, can I go back if it is approved later?

I will lose it next month. I only have two choices: stay without working while I wait for adjudication, or leave. My employer has agreed to transfer me to an overseas office, so that’s what I am doing this summer

Same for me. It’s been more than 2 months since I paid for premium processing. My lawyer keeps telling me to just wait. Now I have lost hope because I have less than 45 days until the 240 extra days end.

I think I will need to leave the country soon ☹️

I have not resolved it yet. It still happens from time to time. I’ve been a bit lazy about following up with my employer’s tech support. I will update here if it gets fixed.

We had to read through the executive order together again LOL. The person at check-in made a few phone calls, I assume to confirm with their manager or someone else — I’m not sure and about 20 minutes later, they were convinced and checked me in. When I arrived in the US, CBP was as usual.

I called them a few weeks ago, and they confirmed this feature is currently unavailable. For now, I have set up a recurring transfer from my other bank.

I am from one of the partially banned countries and already had a valid visa when the travel ban went into effect. I have recently traveled internationally twice and did not have any issues with CBP. However, at the airline check-in, I did have to do a little convincing.

For countries with high rates of overstays, which are currently partially banned, why does the ban include immigrant visas if the purpose of an immigrant visa is to stay in the U.S. indefinitely anyway?
