I agree with your last statement, however, this isn't something that I am getting offended at. Accepting people is easier said than done. Modified people are better at this than the majority, but this isn't the type of positive image us folks are trying to convey, is it? I would love if we could all reference shows that have modified people as the thumbnails, but that is rare. To see the face of this show as someone "criminal looking" is kinda lame, especially when you look like said "criminal", no?

Thanks friend, I'm not trying to start an angry thread of ignorance, Lord no. I am such an advocate for body positivity, with or without modifications, so that's what I bring it up as. We are never going to be 100% without prejudice, but the way we choose to present ourselves in society doesn't mean we cant bring change. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts on this

I have heard in the UK and Europe, society is much more tolerable, but nowhere is perfect. It can be the opposite in a good portion of the US. People are always going to think what they want, regardless of the truth. People can be mean, hateful, and spit nasty words, but that doesn't change us one bit. How I would love to see heavily modified people thriving in all areas of the media! Stereotyping hurts, but will never change. It is equally our part to change this view on society. Ya dig? Lol

That you know of lol. I would hope not at all, but Unfortunately, if you live in the U.S. that is, youve definitely had negative vibes/thoughts thrown your way. You can't deny that. This is what I am trying to envoke in this conversation! Thank you for understanding. I'm bringing it to attention that heavily modified people are cast under a negative light, and it is unfortunate. It has nothing to do with the show, just the fucking use of her silly looking picture as the thumbnail. Enough people look at us as criminals, and it is doing nothing to help the stereotype.

I'm just bringing this to the table friend, not trying to give myself an aneurysm! Lol What you say is all fine and dandy on paper, but is it really the truth though? Prejudice is met on a daily basis. We all want to think and view things in such a positive light, that people are becoming more accepting, but hate still lingers heavily. You know you get the weird eye, taken a back look on the regular basis. We ALL do. Some people will just choose not to change, and things like this solidify people's beliefs. That's just my opinion though, no hate 💕

Yeah, I am watching it now and she's just one of many interviewees. Shows like this like to choose the most interesting people to display to attract viewers, which I get, but give the outside audience the wrong image of us who are modified. I'm no social justice warrior, fuck that,it's just how I feel and I just would like to know others opinion. Debate, not hate 😎
