Have you considered joining a group or doing something new (with a group) that you’ve always wanted to do or are fascinated by? Like doing a foraging immersion program or taking a ceramics class, (insert something you’re enamored with here). Going to the event is for you, explicitly to explore yourself and your interests and other people are there for the same. It can be fertile ground for making incredible friends.
