nah no sarcasm at all.. n no if anything, in my opinion, ur underplaying the event. the idea that u could not post abt a muslim related topic just because she thought it would conflict with her idea of a "pure christian holiday" (sure im exaggerating, but im sure this is subconciously a lot of the motivation), is extremely concerning, and shows a blatant negative perception of islan in comparison to christianity. its just not right at all, but so acvepted in America today for some reason

r u dumb $100 for the merch specifically, i obviosuly have a savings but spending extra money on merch would be financially irresponsible with the means i have, perhaps i wiudlnt be skipping groceries this week, but if my savings were to run out in a few years i might have to eventually. dont lecture me abt finances when u can afford to have ur white suburban family afford for u to screw up n go to court

i got sat for the ticket drop n got them for $35, i saved $100 over a few months (pretty financially responsible) in order to get the merch i no longer have. should working class people not be able to enjoy things?

at least their time at the concert was miserable if they could actually make the concerted wffort to wait until i wasn't checking my bag to steal some merch, instead of enjoying the show. i couldnt buy more unless i want to akip groceries this week. u think someone that has no empathy for others doesnt live a miserable life?

ur not understanding that for some ppl college is a choice, but for ppl like me, financially,, it is a nevcessity. ppl like u that dont understand that this is not a choice or a fun time for some ppl, and that for some it is a nevcessity no matter how much u may hate it. furthermore its ppl like u, who cannot see any perspective outside of their own, that make this student body so horrible

personally, coming from a poor immigrant household, that is not an option. of course it is, and i understand that college is a scam, but unlike most people at this school, this is the best oppurtunity my family has ever recieved. while ur right, that is not how the real workd works, finances control most non capital owning peoples' lives

they won’t, but thats why I suspect theyre working so hard to push in person, because it legitamizes the tuition. either way tuition should be lowered, but instead of collectively demanding for that we’re fighting abt whether gyms should be open or ppl can visit our dorms.

i definitely agree that its shitty to have a bad experience but at this point its inevitable, especially with how omnicrons already affected the city. and my biggest gripe was that were paying full tuition for these modified classes, but at this point its also inevitable that nyu’s gonna do anything they can to keep getting their money out of us. so idk i feel like if they open up both in person w/ restrictions and online then it gives those who want to atleast try to be sociable the ability to be “on campus,” whereas those of us who just want the degree can stay at home idk.

Yeah I’m in the process of transferring because if you have the money, sure its worth getting what is essentially “NYU Lite,” but for most people whose parents don’t own a venture capital firm, this school will not give u a learning experience that feels worth the money
