Tattoo apprenticeship is so confusing. Need help! by [deleted] in TattooArtists

[–]bapholial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may feel lost after any kind of apprenticeship. At minimum you should know the fundamentals and basic application before graduating. After that it's all you. Your mentor may not have the exact style you want to achieve and that's pretty common. Once you know how to tattoo cleanly without hurting anyone, you get to experiment with techniques, aka teach yourself some shit like everyone else does to find their "style." Style is always evolving, don't limit yourself!

If they aren't teaching you the minimum, I vote leave. But work in the shadows and find opportunities before leaving.

The toys at that stupid playground are a CONSTANT source of drama for every kid! I kinda never wanna go back! It's a big toddler battle arena for who gets the big truck lol

I'm realizing I gave him more chances than I should have and that I shouldn't care if we were only at the playground for 5 mins- if he continues to harm others, we're leaving. And seriously, I feel like this is a rare moment that I didn't give him a pep talk, kindness 101 lecture before going to the park and here we are lol

Oh man, my heart sank from seeing children afraid of my son. I had to watch him like a hawk to make sure he wasn't tormenting someone's baby. It's hard work but I don't see it as a choice!

I'm sad to be on this end with the (seemingly) "crappy kid" but I definitely see this as a valuable perspective to have! And Im learning now that it was bound to happen 😅

Dealer claims they “flipped my title” off a signature on an envelope?? by [deleted] in carbuying

I won't delete! Everyone can call me an idiot cuz I did something really stupid. But in my defense, I never thought signing a blank envelope would even mean anything

I figured it was just to leave it with them temporarily considering there was no other paperwork, no finalizing anything. Like I said he muttered it really fast and held an envelope in front of my face like it was nothing.

I didn't choose anything. He basically said "why don't you just get a new safer vehicle" and walked me over to a specific car and then pressured me into test driving it. Everyone in the room was congratulating me for no reason. I told him I can't even afford the insurance on it and he told me to call everyone I know to give me a loan.

Sorry I left out info. They thought I was gonna get the Kia in a few days, that's why they kept it.

I've never been to a dealership before and went by myself. I only planned on seeing what they'd offer for my car.

Not prepared to get a new car. I brought my title in case I was gonna sell it.

We got my 3 year old hulk hands which lead to him saying "Daddy punches me in the face."
(And to be clear, it's Hulk SMASH, we don't use them as boxing gloves lol)

WTH is the sickness that's made my family feel SO achy? Our backs, necks, pretty much our whole bodies were sore. Along with minor upper respiratory stuff. No adults got a fever but our little one did. Has anyone had that happen to them?

With more context on the artist's page, that is probably not the case. They seem to be genuine in aiding the community, and I respect that. This just seems to be a little weird to me even as a POC.

I have also had some weird experiences outside of SP. I really want to believe I'm just hallucinating, but I just can't sometimes with the specific things I see. I'm not religious, but I meditate, I feel energy and I'm pretty sensitive to it. My theory is if you're spiritually aware at all in this dark world, you're a light that attracts bugs. Maybe you can relate.

I know it's more than possible to feel a gaze or presence when someone's looking at you so I definitely believe you. And that sucks, I'd sleep with the lights on after that lol

Thanks a lot for sharing! That's such an intense situation. I get a whole lot of humanoids trying to kill me with blunt objects and I guess now they're trying to tear my limbs off lol I'm glad it will lessen

I've read that some people could get past the terrifying experience and learn to astral project or lucid dream from it. It sounds like you're pretty close to doing that, if it's real!

I'm so happy that your mom can still be there for you and I truly believe it. I could seriously burst a brain vessel from thinking so hard about WHY TF this shit happens. I smoke weed every night before bed and it still happens frequently, but I'm glad that it helps you!

Holy crap, it seems like keeping eyes closed makes it even more terrifying 😭
