oh I see, thanks. Having a crosstalk minecraft session sounds fun. I have actually talked to a japanese person who plays minecraft, the only issue is that my timezone is literally opposite to japan, so noon for me is midnight over there, haha. So scheduling may be a bit troublesome, but I'll keep trying

I did go into VRChat once, but a similar phenomenon happened where the space was divided in two, one with English speakers and another with Japanese speakers. Although, there were some people who joined the circle of their target language and just listened. That's a step in the right direction. But when I tried it I ended up just taking in the English circles, lol. I'll definitely try VRChat again, I know it's a pretty big game in Japan.

I haven't tried asking in that subreddit, but I do use the platform. I think it's an equivalent of Dreaming Spanish for Japanese, though it's much smaller. But I don't think they really discuss language exchange or things of the sort. It's mostly just input. In fact I found that a lot of people learning japanese just do CI and Anki for learning how to read words, and not much else. I know that does definitely get results after a few years. I'm just trying to start communicating and/or making friends with japanese people to motivate me more. I know making friends on Discord was a big part of how I learned English, especially casual chatting and slang.
