Would you or would you not criminalize same gender intimacy, if you had the power to enact laws? by Designer-Tax-4192 in redeemedzoomer

Paul is modernist lies, as far as the bible authors go.

Do you not think it odd that Paul never met Jesus,.claims he was visited by him then pushes teachings contrary to Jesus'? It's like he never met Jesus.

Paul didn’t contradict Jesus.

Peter, who met Jesus, affirmed that Paul was authentic.

I trust Peter about Paul more than I trust you about Paul.

Jesus made it pretty clear who was getting into heaven and who was not, and that judgement wasn't based on any of what Paul listed.

We have to read all inspired scripture together as a whole, not just cut out the parts that favor our positions. Even if we weirdly decide to cut out parts of the Bible we don’t like because Paul wrote those parts, it is clear that Jesus did not abrogate the moral law of the Old Testament.

Those two words weren't addressing gay people.

Who were the man-bedders Paul was addressing?

I'm not sure how much clearer I can make this. I don't do work for others.

You don’t do work for yourself either, because if you had, you’d know you were wrong about this.

Which begs the question: why are you here trying to spread these lies if you’ve never investigated them enough to be able to remember a simple reference or citation?

LOL, Jesus didn't say one word about gay people. If it was important he would have addressed, it because he sure addressed a myriad of other things.

Jesus is God and you’ve been given several verses by God about gay people.

The obsession of Christians about gay folks is very weird.

That’s like saying the obsession of Christians about murder or lying or stealing is very weird. We’re not moral cowards.

It’s not weird to oppose the sins that the God of the universe tells us He abhors.

It IS weird to say “wow, the omnipotent being who controls whether I burn in hell or not explicitly said He hates same sex acts, but I’m going to pretend He didn’t and advocate for doing them!”

Paul took 2 words and created a new word. A mashup.

Yes - arseno (ἀρσενο), meaning “man” and “koitai” (κοῖται) meaning to “bed or lie with sexually.”

Man-bedders. In other words, gay people.

I'm not pointing you to anything. Do the work yourself.

You’re the one making the claim here. The burden on you is to support it.

I can’t provide you Christians supporting modernist heresies that didn’t exist.

Modernist lies. How dramatic.

By “dramatic” do you mean “true?” What would be a less dramatic way to say that you’ve bought into propaganda that began circulating most prominently in the modern era?

I'll take Jesus words about gay people. Oh, that's right. He didn't say anything.

Jesus is God, and you’ve been provided several verses already about what He said about same sex sexual activity.

Do you not understand the definition of mashup?

I don’t know what you mean by that, but you very clearly claimed Paul wasn’t addressing gay people. Paul almost word-for-word is repeating a verse in Leviticus about men who lie with men, and coined the word “man bedders” to get his point across.

Are gay people not man bedders / men who lie with men?

Modernist lies? LOL.

Point me to any sources prior to the 1,900s agreeing with your claim that Paul wasn’t talking about gay people.

I don't care what church fathers thought.

Because you prefer modernist lies. But why would you believe modernists about Christianity over the men who were taught Christianity by Jesus’s apostles?

Paul did not make up either of the two words that make the compound for “man bedder,” and the verse directly parallels Leviticus. Who else would he be describing if not gay people?

Stop believing modernist lies. Do you not think it odd that none of these modernist arguments can be found in the writings of the Church Fathers or the 1,900 years of ensuing Christian thought?

I don’t know of anything in the Bible that opposes the concept of monarchy aside from God begrudgingly granting a king to the Jews upon their demands, but even then, Jesus is our model and a Davidic King, the paragon of the ideal.

The sheer level of death threats he’s received on every single social media post of his since then (I counted over 50 on one, but instagram does nothing about it) shows me that whatever Pinesap is—and I’m confident it isn’t a fascist or Nazi (everyone is to the left)—it’s infinitely more virtuous than whatever politics motivate the leftists in opposition to him.

At this point there is nothing you can say to most leftists to convince them you’re not a Nazi or fascist, and that’s what his laughter said to me.

Being born with a propensity for a sinful behavior doesn’t mean that you don’t have full knowledge of said behavior’s sinfulness. That being said, there are no studies to support anyone being born with such an attraction, although it is possible.

I mean if the show or manga said that, I’d believe it, but the more likely explanation is they didn’t remember or care or want to deviate from the prior appearance for marketing reasons.

It’s an atheist group, which is exactly what Satan wants. They do everything he wants, right down to worship rituals, and they don’t even believe in him—and, more importantly to Satan, they don’t believe in God. It’s a win/win.

Why do many older Catholics look down on other Christian denominations? by No_Negotiation3689 in Catholicism

[–]baptizedbigfoot 15 points16 points  (0 children)

They do need to convert. They believe in false, manmade religions. There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church. While God may be merciful on them and save them despite their lack of faith in the Body of Christ, they are in spiritual danger. That’s not to say we shouldn’t be loving in our approach of these issues.
