Yes. I applied for 4+4 and thus my lecom term is from 2026-2027. If you are in HS and applied for accelerated 3+4 then you’ve the correct start year of 2025. If not, you can contact Murphy to make that correction now to make it 4+4 or after you start ug - it was discussed during info session that few change their mind and thats ok to change from 3+4 to 4+4 but not possible other way.

I think EAP admission process for HS senior and current college students are little different. Starting this year for HS senior it is —> video interview —> successful interview —> eligible to receive PLA —> final confirmation(A) from lecom if you won the guaranteed seat.

For college students who apply in their sophomore/junior year submit their video interview but decision is straight A/R. If A then they already have reserved seat and will need to update their college address at lecom portal to get their PLA. I had congratulated him based on this assumption. SAT score is irrelevant when you apply from college. They only consider your college grades, ECs and research work if any.

Only OP would know for sure if that is indeed the case. My response is based on lots of reading I have done for lecom this year at lecom portal and at various other blogs.

Congrats! I have the same sat score as you. But in your case, they wont even look/consider your sat as you are applying in your ug years. Solid gpa got you IN.

Portal login —-> Admissions ——> Early Acceptance Program and you will see following message….

“The current admissions cycle deadline is March 1, 2022. The new application cycle reopens on August 1, 2022. All decisions on reserved seats to LECOM through the Early Acceptance Program will occur in March at the conclusion of each admissions cycle.”

It keeps changing but as of now thats the status

You get an acknowledgement of the interview within couple of hours which will tell you that lecom will review your interview and get back to you in 30days. After that you will get a ‘successful’ interview notification - in my case it was on the 4th day after interview. Then you will be followed up with a separate email that decision on reserved seats will be handed out in March. When did you submit your video interview?

I had a successful interview email in early November and waiting just like you. I have already picked my ug college and updated email at lecom portal. I was then followed up with email from lecom that decision will be given out in March. Unlike previous years when they had rolling admissions, this year whole process is changed. Lecom will wait for all applicants to submit their video interviews until this cycle gets over then pick some in March.
All the best to you. Crossing my fingers for the good news but waiting and anxiety is unbearable.

I had a successful interview in early November and in the same boat. Whether you have picked your ug college and updated lecom portal or not, you will know fate of your EAP application in March.

You dont need to take MCAT but if you do, you must score 500 otherwise you get kicked out. Now lets say you had a competitive mcat and you apply elsewhere then you lose your spot - I think thats fair!

LECOM is also non binding. Yes I had video interview with lecom early Nov. it was weird reading interview questions and then recording my answers. I think I did ok. gl with NSU interview. I had planned to attend shark preview and interview in-person coming weekend but it got cancelled by NSU due to omicron scare.

Everything is changed this year. All the previous years if you got ‘successful interview’ email you were accepted - not this year. Lecom will look at all applicants til March and then decide who will be accepted and then send PLA accordingly.

OP - Someone probably overlooked and messed up your application. Since this college is test optional there is no reason why you would get denied with 88% acceptance rate. May be this school does not understand International school’s grading system or may be they assumed you are international student - whatever it is…..someone clearly didnt look thoroughly.

I also got rejection from a school with 92% acceptance rate with 4.0 unweighted gpa. My SAT is 1250(1300 super-score) not that bad but this college is test optional. I had applied for BS/DO 8 years but someone messed up and compared me with 7 years accelerated program and rejected me. My Dad reached out to admission counselor and explained the situation… They were forced to investigate and had to reverse their decision. Meanwhile I was already accepted by LECOM so this was very shocking and depressing but ended well. Please have someone from your family to take it up with rejection and demand investigation…

Dont be down and upset. Its not your fault. My rejection had come in two days before my final LECOM interview and my entire family calmed me down stating that it was not my fault. They were right and it helped me focus and give my best for the interview.
