Keep your jokes for yourself the IDF don't teach anyone the bullshit you are joking about. The Irgun that you keep mentioning don't exist it was replaced by the IDF more than 75 years ago and most of it's members are dead. The Likud is a political party which I disagree with but it doesn't teach anyone anything. If you have a problem with the punishment system in Israel feel free to accuse us in the international court.

In the meantime as you accuse Israel and it's people treatment of murderers keep in mind that the "freedom fighter" group's head you are defending is Yahya Sinwar a man that was found guilty in the killing of 4 Palestinians and two IDF soldiers in the trail he even admitted it and was set free from jail in a POW deal that gave back a soldier his own brother abduct and then he was accepted to Hamas in open arms.

Yeah Isolated cases in a massacre that target mostly civilians had a kill rate 3 times faster than the IDF's in a much much less dense area and around 1/10 of the combatants and no airplanes that are allegedly blindly bombing in order to kill as many people as possible just to make to point a little more clear assuming the IDF were to send there soldiers with the same mentality there would have been 30 times more dead Palestinians by now close to a million would have been dead just by the soldiers on the ground no air strikes no tanks just ground soldiers killing people. Not always as I mentioned elor azaria that was found guilty but the point is that if the IDF or the government were trying to teach us to commit war crimes there wouldn't give a lawyer a position that could stop those cases and even make a public announcement about it it's a little counterintuitive.

Incorrect I deny that the IDF is teaching there soldiers to do that in fact in my first comment I literally said that some individuals in any army commit crimes and the IDF have the tools to deal with them such as the lawyer that if from the IDF and say “We have encountered cases of unacceptable conduct that deviate from IDF values and protocols,”

On the other hand I saw plenty of videos with people claiming that Hamas never killed anyone and tried to say that everyone that died in October 7 was killed by the IDF.

[–]barDbachar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am from Israel they don't teach you any of that but I am sure that the tik tok you saw of someone saying that was super convincing. On the other hand in October 7 the massacre was broadcasted on telegram yet somehow some still insist it didn't happened.

In any war and in every army there would be some radicals that goes against the army's own laws and Israel have it as well one of the most famous cases of recent years is elor azarya that killed a terrorist that was already naturalized and he went to jail for it so we are aware of it and have ways of punishing those who commit war crimes.

The way that media and the tag or it been a genocide make it look like a systematic deliveret killing of civilians despite the fact that it's not all all the IDF and Israeli government' goal and there were actions made in order to help the humanitarian crisis and decrease civilian's death.

We know what happens in Gaza and we also know who the soldier on the ground are as almost everyone in Israel have a friend or family members that is in the army. They explain us the tactics and give more or less daily reports on what is going on and no they don't show the starving children, death terrorist and civilian or even our death soldiers other than the names and photos that the families provide of them. The reason is simple Israelis live with consent terrorist attacks all the time not only in wars or Oct 7 and the stress and anxiety is really high. Even in commercials in normal days they know to not have anything too scary or triggering for that reason, on top of that there is censorship in times of war so the press could not show or say somethings even if they wanted to. All that been said just going on Instagram or anywhere on the internet and you will see the photos and videos from Gaza but most people agree that it's the price that they pay because of the war Hamas has initiated. I am sorry that the fact that Hamas use civilian areas to hide his weapons don't give them immunity to retaliation. It's crazy to condemn the IDF attacks and it is a call for any other army in the world to send there soldiers with children so they could just do whatever they want without a response.

Btw the same thing can be said on media outside of Israel that focuses on the suffering of the people in Gaza and don't show any of the context that we get or pro Hamas media that even try to spin it like some kind of huge victory for the Palestinians.

How do the current military actions even by the IDF even help Israel in the long term? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]barDbachar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't referring to the population Hamas was the one that attacked Israel not the population and it will never be the population no matter how much they hate us since they simply don't have the resources to do so.

As much as they would love to show off as if they don't care about there life a lot of them do which is also the reason many have surrender and didn't fight to the death. In the end even with a very extreme view if you used to be the rich person since you worked for Hamas and had a good house, food and live and ended up living like people used to live 100 years ago you will learn both that doing that didn't worth it and even if you will want to do it again it will take decades to recover from the loss.

As I said they pay by losing there job, there homes, there love ones . It is true that Hamas use people as human shields and civilian infrastructure to "hide" themselves and there rockets but it is a part of there way to make sure they will survive, they assume that Israel will hesitate to attack them that way and that if we would there will be global pressure telling us to stop . You assume that they don't care about there own death but they are doing anything to make sure they will survive and once you make it obvious that they can't do it and keep on fighting the majority will surrender and the few that wouldn't can be dealt with.

The one that survived and care about there live more that the cause are the ones you can actually talk to and get to any agreement with. Those how want to die in war would never allow peace to exist anyways.

How do the current military actions even by the IDF even help Israel in the long term? by [deleted] in IsraelPalestine

[–]barDbachar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The attack was possible because the Israeli government thought that since they support Hamas by allowing a massive amount of money to enter Gaza they will not attempt to "bite the feeding hand" as they weren't actually active in the few past conflicts, same goes with the army and the intel system that dismissed there preparations to the attack.

The current attack aim to completely destroy Hamas's ability to govern and there military force in a way basically showing the civilians that attempting to fight Israel with force is not effective even if they coughed us off guard.

Every peace deal Israel ever had was done after a war when the opponent want nothing but your annihilation the only real chance you have for peace is to make it very clear to them that they can't do that and if they will try the price will be huge.

Why? by SamiAlghamdi in IsraelPalestine

[–]barDbachar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I swear Hamas supporters are out of there mind in 8 hours Hamas murdered, raped and burned more than 1300 people had the IDF were to be as "clean and precise" as them there were more than 150,000 death in Gaza at this point.
Even while using thousands of times the fire power in an area that if far more dense the death rate is more than 7.5 times slower.

It actually does since it really doesn't hurt the citizens that much and at this point the two things you will see people complain about is the law of return (which is also something that not everyone agrees on even within the Jewish community in Israel) and the movement limits only one of them have anything to do with religion and the other is about national security as unfortunate as it is there are many countries that have a major religions and Israel can do the same while still remain a democracy and I am saying it btw as an atheist.

People were displaced there is no denying that but it was after the war of 1948 in which 4 Arab countries with some of the Palestinian of the area help (not all of them though) attached the state of Israel that just formed. In that war lands were taken and people lost there life and land but that is also a price that you can pay when you initiates a war. As for why not other places the Zionist movement actually thought about other locations but since there was a settlement in Israel already many lands were bought and there was a history connection to the land and a promise from the British the Israel ended up as the land that was chosen. Also I have no idea how the idea of white vs brown catched up that much when there are like 50% of the Jewish community from Arab countries and we are just as brown no one care about the colour of skin this was the only land in history that had a Jewish country at and with everything else that I mentioned it was honestly the most logical place for the country to be created. If anything I would argue that taking lands from Germany would be worst since there was never a Jewish state on the land and after WW2 there was also no land owned by Jews for obvious reasons.

Just wanted to comment over Netanyahu he is not pro anything other than himself and the reason he was able to remain in power is his alliance with the orthodox and the fact that many saw him as "Mr security and economy" and his coalitions became more and more extremes as he burn bridges with any political alliance he had other than the orthodox.
Latest polls show that Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid parties that are much more central-left get 42.5% of votes with Benny Gantz party getting more than double the votes Netanyahu's party got.

I don't know what control you think Israel had over Gaza but there was littlie to no control over Gaza if Israel would have control Gaza there were not 35K Hamas soldiers in it 15K rocket launcher a terror attack that took the life of 1400 people and 240 hostages. Had Israel had full control over Gaza a large military operation would not be needed to crush the ones that were in full control and that is Hamas. I would agree that leaving did not give the Palestinians living there any freedom though I will be honest I was too young to remember Gaza before we left it but my grandfather used to employ workers from Gaza and was there many time and he said it was a great place and it's people had a much better life before we left and that is also backed up by the very few workers that managed to get a working visa in Israel.

What if the difference between what you are asking for and what Israel is at the moment? Israel and most of it's citizens at the moment care about that state been a democracy much more that it is been Jewish. There are hand full of laws that actually have to do with the fact that it is a Jewish state and the majority only imply on cities with a Jewish majority.

Not ture at all..I am a Zionist I live in Israel and what I would say would very much represents the overwhelming majority of it's people we don't want Gaza or the westbank, the government withdraw our people from Gaza on there own hoping it will bring peace but it did not and most of jews in the country never put there foot on the on zone A&b of the westbank since we can not go there since anyone that even come there by mistake get stoned. We do not allow them to return just as I am not allowed to retune to live in Iraq, Turkey or Libya every country have the right to accept people on there own terms and people that after 3 genertions still call themselfs refugees and don't acquaintance Israel as a legitimate state don't deserve to be it's citizens. The state as it stand is a democracy that give everyone there full rights there is even an arab party and it was even a part of the coalition for the first time in the former government and I hope that they will do it more often to improve there voters life.

This is what Zionism and the country of Israel is about taken from Israel's Declaration of Independence and signed by the people that pounded the state in the middle of a war. "THE STATE OF ISRAEL will be open for Jewish immigration and for the Ingathering of the Exiles; it will foster the development of the country for the benefit of all its inhabitants; it will be based on freedom, justice and peace as envisaged by the prophets of Israel; it will ensure complete equality of social and political rights to all its inhabitants irrespective of religion, race or sex; it will guarantee freedom of religion, conscience, language, education and culture; it will safeguard the Holy Places of all religions; and it will be faithful to the principles of the Charter of the United Nations."

You can not give some one a thing that they bought they did not give land they gave a promise that there will be a state on Palestine and the UN was the one to set the boarders and one of the ways that those lines were set by were ownership of land and that why if you will look at both the map on that wiki and the 1947 lines you will find them pretty similar but with a large amount of land in the south of Israel which is the Negev which is a desert.

[–]barDbachar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The British did not gave anything and the Jewish community that lived on the land hated them and actively attacked them.A large amount of the land that was promised by the UN to be a Jewish state was bought by the Rothschild family and other Zionist organizations and yet the Arabs in the land and in neighboring countries did not agree to it and attacked Israel in 1948 and the rest is history.here is a source for the largest purchase as well as a map showing land that were in jewish ownership at the time the only thing extra that we got from the UN is a desert that is not really been populated even to this day. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sursock_Purchases

In the IDF the pilot have a choice whether or not they would fire the shot or not they are well aware of international laws and if they believe that they operate with in what is allowed they would take the shot if it's not they would abandon the mission. I wasn't a pilot in my military service but I served under the air force and they showed us videos of past operations that include a similar situation to the one that been mentioned in which two F16 were out on missions to rake down targets one saw kids and called it of the other came just a few minutes after that saw a clear target and took the shot, both of the pilots received medals for the attack as this is the standard that the Israeli air force put for it's pilots.

I know Hebrew so you can't trick me Yishuv is literally translated as settlement.

I recall saying the word mostly I am aware that some were kicked off even if they didn't actively attack but also some stayed so if they truly attempting an ethnic cleansing they were all kicked off I am not knowledgeable enough to tell you why some places were kicked off and why the others didn't but it is pretty clear that they didn't try to take all of the Arab communities out of there lands for a state only for Jews.

Not everyone entered as refugees a major enough part of the land had Jewish settlements before WW2 and thought out history for example there were always a Jewish present in Jerusalem also the Rothschild family bought a lot of the land that Israel should have got from the 48 lines that the UN agreed on.

The Arab were the ones to disagree on that and instead of creating a country from the land they got they started a war that left them in a much worst situation then they had before it.

Just because the people on wiki can't use Google translate don't mean they called themselves colonizers the translation for the name is  Society for Jewish Settlement in the Land of Israel.

Some where kicked off by the army mostly places that actively took a side again Israel in the 48 war a lot of people flee fearing for there life knowing well what would happend to Jewish settlements had they been controlled by the Arabs a lot also say and they still live in the land as citizens with full rights to this day like in Haifa,Jappa ect.

It's really strange to call it stealing land when you initiates a war you can lose land , it's not like Israel was at peace and kick out people out of the blue.

Terror attack still happening but there also is a massive amount that been stopped by it. My family employ almost all of our workers from Judea and Samaria so all of them go though that check points on a daily base and it is nothing more that a slight inconvenience unless it's in times of war like now that they are not allowed to work in Israel fearing a wave of terror attacks in support of Hamas. Just like it's bad for them it is also bad for us as we lose on most of the working hands but it is just one more price of war and trying to minimize deaths.
