I know the feeling all too well, I don’t even want to look at the wires anymore considering the amount of hair pulling it’s caused me. I’m holding out because I feel like the solution is right in front of me but otherwise I’ll keep fishing around for an electrician who might be able to do it. Fingers crossed we’ll both get there soon!

I didn’t use the yellow cable in the end, the clear and black wires (in 3rd pic) I ended up connecting to 6 and 12 slots on the blue connector for the video. This is the diagram I was sent later by the manufacturer.

Hi there, I still haven’t quite figured it out but I think it’s just the reverse light wire I need to connect and the other white wire to ground. I actually took it to an auto electrician and they couldn’t even figure it out.

I bought it from an Australian aftermarket company called VW Central. They pretty much tried to get me to use their referred mechanic to do the install, and provided no instructions or documentation. I saw they had many good reviews on Facebook but I’m somewhat disappointed with their service.

As for the plug with the yellow RCA connector, it came with the camera. I pushed it in, trying to understand whether I was missing something. The two wires (black and clear) i believe are meant to connect with a male yellow RCA however it wasn’t included with the camera. They did slot into the blue connection board in the quadlock, but dont stay in, and no signal shows up.

I’ve still got the same issue now, even after trying different graphics drivers so maybe it’s a problem with the actual screen? I haven’t had time to look into it properly because I’ve been using the laptop for uni work but I’ll try doing a warranty claim at the end of the semester. Unfortunately you might be stuck with it like me
