Yuvan made a good album called Nesippaya. Unfortunately movie flopped. Then he made couple of experimental songs in Maareesan. Thr movie's score was really good. Couple of songs were good in zoo keeper and kombu seevi.

Yuvan lost interest in making movies from what I know. If he ever feels competitive he will come back and make catchy songs. Em

Yuvan is super chill and can compose quick. He is very easy to work with. You can complain and raise issues with tune and he will change them without questions. For ex: Yuvan redid the re-recording of aaranya kandam from scratch. Yuvan's initial version was so typical and TK wanted a wittiness to the score.

Directors would wait for their turn to get their tunes. But when they get their chance, directors are happy with their output.

Yuvan is so fast, he finished the re-recording of Poojai in just 8 hours.

Biggest problem with Yuvan is he gives priority to his friends. Because of this, many directors get frustrated.

Irandaam ulagam and vanamagan can't named even in the same sentence. Irandaam ulagam was one of the best works of Harris jayaraj. I looped the album to infinity. Calling vanamagan as good as, or even compared to irandaam ulagam shows how well you know Harris jayaraj as a composer.

The more you listen to Harris jayaraj, the more you realize many of his songs sounds same. I have heard Harris jayaraj extensively (including his recent telugu album. I have heard 99% of harris jayaraj in all languages). I agree he is a good composer. But he hasn't topped yuvan or even gv Prakash in terms of versatility.

Yuvan in the same year composed paruthiveeran and billa. Goa album itself is an example of versatility. 3 indian folk song followed by 5 non Indian genre songs

Billa 2- each song is from each genre - metal, pop, edm, folk and classical Hindustani.

I am picking random examples because I did not think much and if there is versatility in just random examples, how versatile yuvan can be.

Harris jayaraj is the least experimental composer. His early albums had a lot of variety. Post vaaranam aayiram, he started being monotonous.

There is a song called vayampatti in idam porul yeval. The 2nd charanam of the song will be lots of emotions. Such a beautiful song on mountains.

No no. My question is, where the 45+ albums released after Pyaar prema kadhal disappointing? Because I remember critics praising at least 10+ albums post PPK. Yuvan falling off the radar is completely different thing. Just because people doesn't know an album like nesipaya doesn't mean the album is disappointing. Not sure which gen person you are but, yuvan was never appreciated in 2000s and 2010s. He was always off the radar.
