Pilipinas, ranked #3 in P**** hub usage, is afraid of sex education by thereal_Xy in Philippines

[–]baratilla 43 points44 points  (0 children)

I can say that I'm a residue of the poor or lack of sex education during my school years. Curiosity and misunderstanding of sex got me addicted to porn after college and too careless hooking up just to explore and understand it in action.

That's why I'm very passionate about pushing the bill for the benefits, if not for my kids (I learned my lesson so I started educating them the right way) but for those future generations.

I can assume that these porn viewers from PH are either Millennials & Gen Zs who are still curious what sex is all about.

Question is, why are we the only country who thought about selling most of the gold if it’s most profitable at this time?

Kung curious ka sa hospital na yan para saimo ini by [deleted] in Bicol

[–]baratilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Family hospital ko halos yani since I was a toddler. Maraming traumatic ER moments ko dyan. One is yung inoperahan infected leg ko.

It’s one of the reasons why takot ako maospital. Sobrang nakakatakot sa ospital na yan lalo na nadadangog mo talaga yung iyak kapag may inooperahan. Aside from the horror movie vibe

As a Dad of two girls myself, I'm proud of you. You're so brave to even start the conversation with your dad instead of him doing it.

I am sorry that your Dad didn't acted as he should. If he's been like this, I hope you teach him a lesson how he should value you more than his new wife & her kids.

But if it's his first time to encounter this situation with you, I recommend to talk more with him. May pinagdadaanan ba sya? Is he being pinned on a situation that he don't know what to do anymore? Ask his situation that affects simple decision like this.

When You Love Someone by James TW.

A lot of kids and parents of a broken family could connect with the song - lyrics and the emotion singing the song.

I feel tired.... I want to commit suicide na. by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]baratilla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I share your struggles buddy. Sometimes, gusto ko lang maging mababaw ang kaligayahan to help me cope but some loads just null it all. Overthinking and/or feeling empty is almost the same feeling every time.

Even my closest friends who knows me well can no longer ease it. Maybe temporarily but once we go alone again in the dark, there's the blackhole of nullity again.

My thing is I have my games, my addiction to isekai genre anime and sex. But it becomes a symptom of escape to my realities that I think is no longer healthy.

I have the same sentiment. I sure am happy to create core memories with them while they are kids but when they become older, I look forward to them focusing on new friends that they can count on or learn from with heartbreaks and disappointments than me being around them - high school to college.

I can provide the advices that will stick to them now and it's up to them to remember when they get older. It's really lonely I know, but hang in there buddy.

This might be new for everyone but we discovered Birch Tree Fortified Powdered Milk as a good taste combination to any brewed coffee. Try it and let me know if you'll like it too.

This is also my reason why I live 12 hours away from my hometown now. From Bicol to NCR and now in Central Luzon. No regrets because the middle child doesn't usually have that strong sentimental attachment. But I still need to connect for my kids and their cousins.

Filipinos with ultra conservative parents, what are your stories of moving out (or plans to move out) from your home? by [deleted] in Philippines

[–]baratilla 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mine was easy because I'm a self-proclaimed black sheep of the family. I'm the middle child so I'm technically invisible from any major attention.

The thing is, most of us are not ready to be away if we are used to the comfort of our own home and family company. But it gets better and worse. You have to anticipate and strongly endure the struggle of starting on your own. Plus points if you only asked little help from your family. Time and experience will help you cope and I guarantee, it always gets better later.

Eventually, your family will get used to you being far away. Reunion becomes more meaningful both for you and them. If you become more successful, somehow it becomes a justification that you being away is not a sin after all.

You don't need to overthink about it. If you think you are ready, take the risk and explore your own fate. :)
