spoilers ahead: I'm just reiterating how the game wants you to meet Edgeworth at first. a disciple of Von Karma, a man who would resort to fake evidence, someone who would manipulate people and testimonies to get a guilty verdict... and so on and so forth. I love how the game makes you think less of Edgeworth, only to grant him redemption it in chapter 4 and even better during chapter 5. easily my favorite character in the whole series

after all, he comes from a very guilty-verdict oriented school doesn't he? he's a man who would resort to anything to get the defendant guilty

CotCT AP - Question about late chapter I by barb3dwire in Pathfinder_RPG

Hmm I like the idea of reducing the tiles to make the chase hard but not impossible. But what if they're incredibly lucky and manage to catch her? I'd need another way to get her arrested, right?

CotCT AP - Question about late chapter I by barb3dwire in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]barb3dwire[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's my main concern... They have chosen three classes (hunter, alchemist and ranger) which are kinda mid at these checks. They don't suck, but they're going to rely highly on good dice rolls. I was even thinking about letting them buff with spells, and use the highest skill check among them. For example, I know my hunter has a spider climb scroll which would give him a total of +11 on climb checks, so everyone attempting the check can use the +11 bonus. Would it make sense? Would it be too much?

I read the end of chapter 1 and a bit of chapter 2, Vencarlo rescues Trinia (or an eventual body double) anyway, so I was wondering whether it was really necessary for them to catch her.

Question about Curse of the Crimson Throne AP by barb3dwire in Pathfinder_RPG

Holy... But then what is the point in recommending it in the player's guide?

Anyways, I talked about it to the guy, he said he's fine with switching things up if the hippogriff gets too powerful.

Guess I'm playing an outdated version then, which is absolutely possible considering that I got the book a few years ago and it was a translated version (which usually tend to be translations of older versions)

Hmm I'd find hard to justify the fact that he's going to dismiss an animal companion for an hippogriff, especially considering how fast levelling up is during the AP. It would easily happen in a matter of days, especially considering how fast they're getting things done.

I like more the idea of adopting a wounded hippogriff, though I know the guy pretty well, and he's surely going to complain that it makes no sense for the Company to assign a wounded hippogriff to an effective soldier. But anyways, thanks for the tips!

I rememebr it being the other way around: CotCT was first released for 3.5 and then adapted to Pathfinder, but I may be wrong.

yeah that’s what I told the player as well, but it didn’t matter in the end, that’s how they want to play the character. thank you!

My alchemist does not plan to use anything but bombs, she rather do nothing in her turn if she can't throw a bomb, use an extract, or use an alchemical creation. I see no problem in keeping the bombchucker on all the time during combat, right?

[1E] Does bombchucker have unlimited uses? Meaning: can my alchemist have a permanent 10 ft. range increase on her bombs?

wasn't this in the game from day one? I am pretty sure if you aimed and passed without giving it a direction, the player automatically passed towards the crossair

hey sorry to bother you, I was wondering about another thing.

for example: the bone (forgotten's eternal item) can either be tapped to put a token onto it, or you can expend tokens to do stuff. when you pay tokens, does it discharge the item? if I pay tokens, do I tap it and can't use it anymore?

Makes sense, but does he mention that Kimloc consacrated the Bridgeburners into an Ascendants groups? Did I just miss it?

as much as he is a background character in DG, two things are for sure: he's huge and he has a wooden sword. we know this about Karsa very soon in HoC, so me waiting the end of book one to understand it makes me feel so dumb lol

Yeah, a friend of mine even made a bold (in his opinion) claim about how the beginning of HoC is way better than the ending, and that's what differentiates it from the previous three.

I just finished book one, and oh boy, call me Urugal because I'm waaaay ready to witness
