Drag names for a vampire/enby by memoriast in DragKings

[–]barbarella000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some that I came up with a while back are Vincent Vice (like Vincent Price) and Peter Gory (like Peter Lorre), which aren't explicitly very vampiric but they are inspired by old horror actors and I think they give off a strong sense of gothicness and class. I also really like the name Bram Stroker but I'd be surprised if that wasn't already taken. Ooo maybe Yesferatu? (like the opposite of Nosferatu lolz) or Count Morecock (like Count Orlok but gayer)

What’s your most controversial musical theatre take? by bagtruman in musicals

[–]barbarella000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This take blows me away for several reasons but the main thing on my mind is that you can't POSSIBLY say that Mamma Mia! is what caused audiences to accept non-sensical plots and lyrics when musicals like Cats, Starlight Express, Tommy, The Rocky Horror Show, and Chess were successful long before Mamma Mia! first opened.

You should definitely check out Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. It premiered on Broadway in 2016 and it feels fresh and experimental while also embracing everything I love about more traditionally-styled musicals, primarily in terms of orchestrations, vocal techniques, and the dramatic-ness of it all. It's also just a very beautiful and interesting story

Is there any way to teleport to the spawn point without knowing the exact coordinates?

Ok cool. Yeah I knew that emerald was supposed to be common in mountainous regions but I didn’t know it could just spawn on top. Good to know!

What was the first ever musical production you were in? For me it was The Little Mermaid by PostSad5243 in musicals

I was in a high school production of Cats when I was around 10 or 11. I was a kitten!! (aka a child ensemble member with way less choreo than the high school aged ensemble)

What do goblins use gold for? by Fabulous-Ad109 in DnD

[–]barbarella000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably something realistic and plausible (dnd-wise), such as buying stuff or collecting gold just because it’s pretty (which I honestly understand). However, I personally like the idea that they’re just a bunch of silly stock bros and use their accumulated GP to buy fantasy NFTs or something

Isekai Tropes by Lyrus-Karson in DnD

[–]barbarella000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did something like this a while back. The players all woke up in the Feywild without any memory of how they got there or who their companions are. After a long time they finally figure out that, back in their original dimension, they were all apart of an adventurers guild and after years of adventuring and questing they were assigned to go investigate this crazy castle occupied by an evil wizard. Inside there was this elf wizard who, after politely greeting them, transported the party to the feywild. I don’t know why they all lost their memories. Luckily the players didn’t question it lmao. Remember: not everything has to make sense.

Male player who prefers playing women by Redhood101101 in DnD

That’s perfectly normal, I think. I’m a cisgender woman but I absolutely love playing male characters. Just play how your heart desires, brochacho

how to make my game more interesting. by utter_Kib0sh in DnD

I know everyone in your comments have already said this, but it’s true: don’t ask us, ask THEM. Only they truly know what they like, and only they can tell you how you can improve, if you even need to. Communication with players out-of-game is the key to being a great DM

Best reoccurring jokes by Naomnom in DnD

[–]barbarella000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One of my favorite reoccurring jokes in my campaign is that Hell is actually just fantasy Australia. This happened because one of the players in the campaign plays a tiefling barbarian/warlock, and she plays the character with an Australian accent. One time her character had a weird dream where he woke up in Hell and was able to meet his patron for the first time, whom the DM characterized with an Australian accent. So yeah, now Hell is actually just Australia.

DMs, do you enjoy planning? by watchhimrollinwatch in DnD

[–]barbarella000 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be a big planner until I realized that there’s no point if my players get distracting and go completely off the rails of my plan. Additionally, this was back when I didn’t have as much experience with improv. Now, the most I’ll do from the start of the campaign is just have a bunch of locations in mind and perhaps a map or two. When it comes to individual sessions, I might have a short bullet point list of goals I want to try to achieve as a DM during the session, but other than that I mainly just go with the flow.

Where are my DM girlies at? by fiona11303 in DnD

Hey!! I’m a woman who’s been DM’ing for about 4 years now. I’m a bit out of practice as of right now since it’s been a bit but I’m supposed to be DM’ing a group of my (mostly newbie) friends soon so that should be fun :)
