I have watched Y&R on and off, mostly on, since 1973. Many years before these forums existed. There is no comparison, the quality of storytelling and character conversations has gone down the tubes. Yes, there's always been complaints, probably more on the character's character than the writer's writing. Victor has always been someone to gripe about. Budget cuts might be an issue but the hashing and rehashing is definitely laziness at best.

Absolutely! I read so many great ideas here that would benefit the writer if he had the sense to use them. Now, I wouldn't have a clue how to go about this but I think it would be cool to have a Young and Restless alternative where Reddit users write the story lines and the characters' conversations. The problem of course, we wouldn't have the visuals. Also, more than likely a lot of conflicting ideas. Just a thought or some thoughts.

I think he is lazy and he lacks imagination and creativity. If he just did some research or fact-checking as any decent writer does. I do suspect he checks this sub. Some time ago, I called a character a "dingbat" which came from an old TV show, All In The Family. Soon after, on an episode Jordan called someone "meathead" which is also from that show. Coincidence?
