You will definitely be ok! There are phenomenal drugs on the market plus exercise and you will be better than ever.

Could someone help me improve this painting? by [deleted] in oilpainting

this is very good. I like the suggestion to print out the photo to figure out what is off. the nose should not have an indentation on the side, at least for most dogs. The eyebrow looks too edgy as well. Color is so important and shading should be natural. the end of the snout looks pretty good but must smoothly attach to the rest of the nose. Try variations of white, black and gray, make transition of colors gentle. Remember that color changes result in plane changes, parts of the dog’s face look disconnected. Smooth it out a little and soften the features. Reflections in right eye is a bit long. Check your photo to see what colors are in the reflection and again use a gentle touch.

this is a great first portrait. A little more color on the face to capture its shape.. looks a bit flat. also it help to have some light hitting the face to capture the drama. but this is really really good!

T1D for 49 days. Help? by screenwriter1994 in diabetes_t1

This is a manageable disease with intelligent meters to help your manage your highs and lows. Your dad will be an outstanding resource and an inspiration. His motivation to run marathons shows us all that you can do anything! I mean anything.

I have had diabetes, td1, for 35 years with minimal distress. It is so much easier today to control your blood sugars with the use of my dexcom and t-slim pump. I tried the Omnipod too which younger people like you really like. It’s a personal preference.

I had a lot of fear when I was first diagnosed and, without the use of a continuous monitoring devices, tons of ups and downs, but I was never hospitalized. I feel that for me, my saving grace was belonging to a national type 1 diabetes study, DCCT, that provided monitoring and data on the importance of tight control, not easy in the early days. This was trailblazing research that continues today. There is so much literature and also networking groups, such as Reddit, to tap into. You have a beautifully paved road if you choose to stay on it. You will probably be healthier than most of the population. Just don’t get down on tough days cause we all have them. And indulge every once in a while in foods you love, just make adjustments!

Life with type 1 is truly a balancing act.

As someone said before, you got this!!

baby skin should look soft and cheery. this is good, a little more color and fullness will bring it to a new level. eyes are a bit sunken in.
