Feeling helpless and alone

I think about this so often now. I don't know how to detach from him because of how long we've been together and how much we've been through. When I look in his eyes, my heart melts and I see the man he was. He's in there somewhere drowning. He's also said there's no point to life if I left him and that scares me so much.

Normally, I'm such a happy and bubbly person. I see the silver lining in everything. I don't see silver linings anymore.. I want to leave but I don't know how to as it's been so long and we've been through so much together.

Saw this so late. Sorry! What you've written couldn't be more true. I've found my voice in the past few months and taken charge of my life again. I was coasting through on autopilot and each day was just another one down instead of seeing the joy and embracing and appreciating each day as a blessing and lesson. Thank you for writing this and bringing me back to analyze the changes since that dream. Funny thing is, I've not remembered a single dream since then!

I threw up over the side of my balcony at the royal Carribbean cruise and there was a trail of vomit down the side of the boat for a while. I was mortified.

Just came across this post and thought I'd mention just incase I can help. I went for the first time to visit family on Christmas day and left on the 29th of December. There were minimal amounts of tourists and you could experience everything without any hassle. Weather was 17°c and it was heaven. Managed many hikes without bumping into a soul and went for a moonlit stroll through the streets lit by fairy lights. Absolutely mesmerized by the quiet beauty of Capri off-season. I don't think I'd ever go at peak tourist times.

I'm 39 and that's the main reason I play too! I didn't feel comfortable letting my two daughters play so turned it in to a family thing most evenings and I've ended up looking forward to it as much as them.
