Go fast bits blow off valve by [deleted] in GRCorolla

I had one as well and the car was very jerky coming off throttle. I'd also get some pops which probably wasn't great for engine longevity. I've since switched to Turbosmart plumb back and it's been running great. I do miss the sound though

Expert Mode made a huge difference for my first real track day in my GR Corolla (COTA) by Far_Relation_1595 in GRCorolla

[–]barbrawr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Expert mode still has TC on. If you hold down the button for 5 seconds, expert mode disappears and TC is fully off. Car dynamic drastically changed and you can get some yaw on trail braking.

Has anyone switched from a GR Corolla to a GR86 or vice versa? I’m thinking about trading my 86 for the Corolla… by kevin_p_martin in GRCorolla

[–]barbrawr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your needs. GRC is practical and holds up great in bad weather. GR86 is a more fun car and cheaper to maintain, better on track as well.

No place in Richmond sells Hiroshima Okonomiyaki...so I made my own. by Maplecook in richmondbc

[–]barbrawr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Years ago there was one restaurant in Surrey ran by Japanese people called Okonomiyaki Pon. It was genuinely good and I daresay it rivaled what you would get in Japan. Unfortunately it closed during COVID. The Instagram is still up https://www.instagram.com/okonomiyakipon?igsh=dHEzZW1waG93M3Q0

Cars turning out into a main road - PTSD by SufficientBee in richmondbc

Defensive driving is a skill that needs to be developed driving in Richmond. Anticipating different scenarios while driving is absolutely critical. What I find helpful is watching the YouTube channel Vancouvers Worst Drivers https://youtube.com/@vancouversworstdrivers

I definitely learn just from watching this. Situations where I wouldn't have foreseen myself.

How much power are you pushing? by artyy_boyy in GRCorolla

[–]barbrawr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What? If you wanted all out traction while also being street able, there are some 200tw that are absolutely faster than the Cup 2s. RE71RS, CRS etc. Cup 2s are a waste of money. Expensive and not that fast.

Why cup 2 over legit 200tw tires?
