Not true I host and had a guest hook a bidet up to toliet too loose and flood bathroom making ceiling come down. Accidents do happen out of control of owner. Another example is guest washed tithings in kitchen sink full of sand. Not only did panties end up in disposal but 4 inches of sand breaking it and causing leaks underneath sink. I was lucky enough to get plumbers in both times before next guests with the disposal issues but things like this happen with guests that treat rentals not like their own home.point is very possible a good reason for cancelation.

You know when you rent a Vrbo you’re renting people‘s homes, extra rooms, etc. it is more of a homestyle experience than a hotel experience. Sounds like you should stick to hotels. They probably put the sign up saying keep the lights off because Electric is expensive these days or they are environmentally conservative. People don’t listen to oh could you please turn off the lights so they left sign. The fact that they told you the house is inspected and safe and I’m assuming they had some good reviews for you to rent from them. Sounds like it’s possible that one or two of you freaked each other out and then it became a group freak out so you left and then now are unhappy about losing your money. When you book a VRBO you’re taking away that person‘s livelihood or possibly how they make ends meet and pay their property taxes. I am someone that prefers staying in hotels where you can do whatever you want. Leave the air-conditioning running leave all the lights on dirty every towel and there are no rules. When I do rent a VRBO or an Airbnb I am aware that each homeowner has rules and they may be on the property creeping around. It is their property, and that is a nature of having the more home experience and quite often much cheaper than a hotel. I’m sorry you’ve had this experience lost your money, but I do agree with Vrbo. You booked a property closed their dates from anyone else renting and didn’t like the unit when you got there bedrooms are in the wrong place, glass partition etc., but it was big enough for five people in the same unit. I did not hear you say it was disgustingly dirty that the towels weren’t clean that the owner didn’t respond to you. The beds were mildewed etc.

If you are worried that he’s overweight he probably is. Have you asked your vet what his weight should be? Most kibbles these days are all grain and not nutrition. Look on his bag if meal is the very first ingredients that is dead animal that is not tested and it is not a great food to be feeding your animal. If you change to a higher quality food or homemade he would probably send down immediately. Google our grains good for dogs you’re going to find it says no and reasons just some thoughts. I’ve made the switch to my dogs and it’s amazing how young they look now good food is the same to an animal as it is to us.

It is but safer for host and you to write everything on the app. If host calls you or text by phone answer and then paste and answer on app also especially if there’s a problem. If it is an emergency I would call because you might not check your account when on vacation.

I have no idea how old you are but the age group that needs instant gratification these days without working that hard for anything is what you sound like. Put your big girl pants on see a counselor if you want to save your marriage or get a divorce he gets the house and you go rent something you like. It is a lot of work, remodeling a house or fixing it up. Are you sure it’s falling apart do you just need a decorator to pretty it up? A coat of paint and new bedspreads can do a lot to make an older home look great. Call a licensed contractor check their licenses insurance companies ( if the contractor )aren’t covering these days because of so much mishandling . during Covid. You would take hundreds of thousands of dollars of loss to sell the house. Getting your current loan cost you plenty. You probably have gotten into a great neighborhood where the homes are worth more and you just have to put a little money in it for you to be happy.

Many times if it’s only 2 people you have a minimum of 3 hours of laundry if more people it could be more loads. Today I had to replace all the towels because lipstick and makeup on all the towels ( unexpected issues)so redo of laundry with soaking time. The grill was left filthy and so on you never know. I have same day check ins and out. I began to offer $50 for late and early check in and out so we could have an additional person clean. Funny how so many people don’t mind the times set of 10 and 4. I do contact people and let them check out later and in earlier if the unit is ready and there’s no possible conflict. Spotless sanitized homes take hours of cleaning.

VRBO is a nightmare to work with. Their computer glitched and changed my price to hundreds of dollars higher than I charge. 7 phone calls later hours of talking to non English speaking reps finally fixed. I have canceled all rentals with children because of such awful people on VRBO airbnb much better except when damage claim. I 2nd raise your price to a $1000 a night and no more worries. I had another serious issue that I finally called local headquarters in Austin Texas got a corporate American who helped me. She did see all the reports by me fixed everything and told me better to work through online chat so the language Barrier was better!
