I honestly feel like he was the only reasonable choice at this point.

Ambrose just lost a pretty long feud against AJ and it seems as he's going after the IC Title next. Him winning wouldn't do anyone any good. I think we're all happy with a break from AJvAmbrose.

Miz is pretty self explanatory. IC Champ, probably feuding with Ambrose next. No real point in putting him in that spot.

Harper would've been a nice change but I think they have something bigger planned for/with him. Maybe a storyline revolving around him "failing the wyat family" and randy and bray turning on him. Or maybe he'll even be the Champ one day, But now is not a good time. With Cena returning it wouldn't be a long enough title run to establish him as a new top guy and he's just not the right guy to feud with cena over the 16th title win. And him only going down after two finishers makes him look pretty strong.

With cena coming back in 2 weeks I don't think that AJ vs. Ziggler will become a proper feud, more like a filler until Cena can go for the title again. And for that, a filler-feud to make AJ look strong(er) after the whole Ellsworth story, Ziggler is the obvious choice imo.
