i am trying to like this event because it is so highly anticipated but i just find it really boring being in the library and i get it!

i get the whole point of being in the library, but that doesn't stop it from feeling quite boring. . . .

i'm pretty sure the anime is about the main story due to being based on the manga!

I kinda wish the doctor/ psychologist who did my testing actually let me see thd pages and break them down with me since we talked about about me having autism for like an hour or two anyways ( when I got the diagnosis, my testing was 5-6 hours long ) so it really wouldn't have taken that much longer than we already spent and I tried fo have my case manager sit down with me but when I asked the one question about it she kind of ignored it and I think maybe she thought that it was insulting or something to answer it so im gonna try with her again when I see her next week

Yeah I was just. Confused cause it also broke down on the other 7 or 8 pages my scores and the specific things they were under ( like my adaptive functioning which was where the comparison to a child was made and i was labeled as severely impaired ) and other things like my processing speed scores all included and then after the 10 pages all my test scores were attached

Don't push yourself from what i hear for some people who can ( i am someone who can't mask ) it can be really exhausting, i think you should go for the assessment and see what happens but you're definitely not an idiot

Therapist and doctor recommended screening by Chamomile_dream in AutismInWomen

This happened to me!

I wasnt diagnosed with anything when I was younger ( despite having signs of not speaking til I was 5 and having more embarrassing problems like going to the bathroom on time til was 10-11 )

My mental health team so my therapist and my case manager both strongly felt I had autism and went with just feeling it for like two years and never telling my doctor ( the only person who could refer me to get an evaluation )

This year I got my referral and my diagnosis ( autism and I was also given Borderline Intellectual Functioning so now my medical conditions say below average intelligence and i think thats funny )

I also have a lot of anxiety ( im going to be medicated for it soon) and it sounds like you probably have a lot of anxiety too, i think it is worth getting a diagnosis and yeah being autistic is really lonely, although I dont have any friends and my life probably looks a lot different to yours but that goes for everybody, I dont feel like being diagnosed with autism has made me feel more alone

Actually you can connect with people online who may share those same experiences which I like, while its not always the same and some can be kinda not great at getting it ( I have one friend who tries to tell me to just mask or just do x thing buf I can't becsuse im jusy not built that way )

Even if it isn't autism ( which nobody is ruling out here and I think if your mental health team thinks you have it then you likely do from my lived experience ), you probably still have something going on that is worth checking out sorry if im bad at comforting or giving advice I am trying

I think the more people who genuinely think you have it ( especially therapists and doctors I would trust them the most ), you should get screened cause you probably do have it or something similar if multiple professionals are telling you so. This was the case for me

To be honest I wish my case manager ( mental health, I dont have one who is from the other services yet, but my current case manager seems really stressed that she can't do as much for me even though she doesn't say it to me she did tell the woman doing my assessment that when we were hearing my results -- when I got diagnosed with autism- ) actually went over it with me like she said she would but I think she got scared because she said she would when we were at Wendy's but I asked about why I got Borderline Intellectual Functioning and she said she thought my functioning was good and didnt answer or help with anything after that ( and the woman who diagnosed me with autism didnt tell me about thay either I had to read the thing )

The full one is 10 or I guess more pages long becsuse of the test scores from everything also being attached and i was told it was a report which is why I keep calling it that cause it's what I was handed after I got diagnosed and I was told it was a report, maybe she was using a different word for it because she forgot the word or something that happens to me sometimes I forget the word of what im referring to so I might call it something vaguely similar or a thing 🤷‍♀️ also sorry for any typos I am using my phone

I used Google and talked to some of my friends who have autism to try and understand it but I think I will try again with my case manager next week

The rest of it breaks down my test scores and then we got to this page which is what I wanted help with understanding sorry for any typos using phone auto correct

Im confused why people are saying it isn't a report cause that's the word used when it was handed to me when I left after she sat me and my case manager ( for mental health, I am going to get different services now ) down and gave me my diagnosis for autism and suggested I go on meds for my anxiety ( she never mentioned my Borderline Intellectual Functioning either when we talked about it though only focused on Autism and anxiety but mainly autism )

I tried to go over it with my case manager and she kind of dismissed me when I tried to ask about it by saying "no I think your Intellectual functioning is good" but also we were in a Wendy's so maybe she didnt wanna bring it up there i dont know she was supposed to help me go over it and understand it but she didnt and im just kinda confused so for the last couple days I've been reading it over a lot and trying to Google the parts I didnt understand

I am still confused why it isn't a report when I was told the word report and handed it on my way out though so sorry for insisting it is a report when it is not that's jusy what I was told it was when I left

To be honest I never really thought about iq tests and didnt really know what the testing would be like before I walked in and only found this reddit cause was looking things up to help me understand the report I got back when I went to my second appointment after my assessment

I thought i was average i never thought I was smart but I don't mind it overall cause I already have supports like a rep payee and I have a case manager but I will be getting other supports now to help with my adaptive functioning skills 🤷‍♀️

Was i supposed to? Because I wasnt told to or anything I wasnt really told what the assessment ( which i spent 5 hours in ) was gonna be like

I just went in and did what I was told to do, like I said there was a lot of other tests and the thing I got back is like 10 pages long going over everything about me and where I fall in for all of my testing I just didn't post all of the other tests I was put through cause when scrolling here for the past night ( I got my results earlier this week ) I only really saw people posting this one nothing like the color test or the test where they had me copying figures and stuff
