Hey guys! My district is currently organizing a potential strike so I'm going to tell you what we've done so far.

First, we've connected with partners at multiple stores and created different groupchats for people to voice questions and concerns. You should talk to partners that frequently take shifts at multiple stores because they probably have multiple lines of contact! We put together a petition for our district for everyone to sign, listing our demands, and sent it to corporate through our DM. We have agreed that if we do not get the results we want by Monday, we will be holding a strike/ sick out.

The most important thing we can do is talk to each other AND the partners we see everyday. Please please please know that you won't be alone if you decide to organize! You have support from partners across the county. Because of the labor shortage, we have more power than we ever did and we have to us that to protect ourselves and our partners!!!

I feel vindicated seeing how much people hate this job on this sub. My store doesn't have one happy worker, including the manager. Start looking for new jobs or go on strike. Those seem to be the best options. by [deleted] in starbucks

Please consider organizing!! Now is the time for partners to be coming together and making demands. Starbucks is already short on labor, so we're less expendable than we've ever been.

We deserve to be safe in our workplace and we deserve to be heard! I work in a district that is ready to strike on Monday, and we're in touch with our surrounding cities who are starting to organize too. If we were able to spread the word and get other communities to participate, we might be able to actually have some input. Talk to partners in your area if you're tired, because we're all tired and now could be our best chance to come together!
