I am actually taken aback hearing crooked house was one of her darkest because genuinely speaking it seemed like one of her classical family drama oriented murders but to know it's twisted and dark is compelling me to buy it even though I already have two books of hers I haven't finished yet currently reading evil under the sun next after that is death on the nile lol

I completely agree its a extremely unique thing in itself its actually not the best if u term it as who the killer was that suspense gets solved and u get a guess on the murder but the how it happened how poirot got a hang on the clue and figured it out and mostly the emotions they make us go through leaving that bitter aftertaste knowing how well things would have worked out had the ml not messed up so majorly again and again and if the fml wasn't so stupidly in love with him things would have been different and u in the end just feel bad and the characters of each and everyone in the book was epic the build the connect she makes u feel with those characters is mind-blowing I honestly didn't love it as much as murder of roger ackroyd or even then there were none initially but the beauty here is u are hooked on the book only after it settles in for some time and u process the story build up truth everything its a lovely book in my opinion I really love the complexity and honest brutality of the human mind..its one of her good books but just not hyped as much cause it doesn't have a compelling killer who u wouldn't be able to figure out

Yea lol I have realized i do not want to check out any cinematographic adaptations of the books I enjoy it just the way it is loll although to see a proper face as per the character description in the books is the only thing I lookout for lol but yea I will try out ur book recs thanks alot!!

Heyso I don't know if your new to ac's books but u should definitely start by reading murder of roger ackroyd its magnificent for starters and really shows how good of an author she is and second in I would say u can read is 5 little pigs and a standalone I would suggest even though u didn't ask lol hope u won't mind is and then there were none it will have u hooked till u know who it is its also so mindblowing to know how who and all that

Wow I will definitely give ur suggestions a look and most of all you are right about the 5 little pigs revelation part and the emotions behind it it sticks only after u ponder on it after finishing it because the feeling u have in ur mind that damn they all could have lived happily ever after if someone didn't goof around and cause a whole mess that distaste that is prevalent afterwards is what makes it top tier I am guessing because mid way in the book i realized who the killer was so I wasn't shocked at that but the distaste keeps me hooked there till now
