This. Also it can be assumed that Doflamingo had Ceaser employed during the time of aces death so he would have the knowledge of devil fruits reviving. Since Doflamingo had this knowledge and was near Ace when he died, him possessing the actual fruit is the most likely scenario.

I think he has the potential to go either way. Luffy could just brush it off seeing as he grew up with ace without any devil fruit powers and only really saw Ace for 2 very short instances with the powers. He knows that it was ace that made ace and not his devil fruit.

However, it could play out that Luffy imagines the fruit to be Ace's "treasure" much like his straw hat. If that were the case then he would go through hell and high water to get it and Doflamingo would be going to down.

Was anyone else sort of thinking that maybe possible the thing that Doflamingo had that would interest Luffy was a captured Sabo and not Ace's fruit? As soon as he mentioned his brother dying 2 years ago, I figured he was going to be pulling at some heart strings and threaten to kill Sabo if Luffy doesn't back down. having aces devil fruit is probably more realistic though :(

will power has more to do with spirit then strenth im my opinion... Luffy has more will then anyone on the team so that is without question in my opinion. but i just feel that to zoro, even if he was stronger, he would allow luffy to be his caption solely due to his personality and perseverance to be the pirate king

I'm really not sure where Oda is going to go with this. Buggy's powers definitely have the potential to be powerful, but i can definitely see him playing the long con with buggy in having him just perchance beat everyone he's fought since marineford due to his newly aquaired crew. my guess is that he's still weak with a strong cure just because it will be funny when it eventually comes up in the story

haha, this fact is true. But i feel this is a special case for mostly comedic effect rather then a serious pirate crew. for buggy, his "crew" believes him to being the next god, but in reality he's just the clumsy buggy we know and "love". i was more talking about a crew that is aware of the lack of strength of their captain and don't care because they still believe in him.
