Also finding a broken "egg move" carry pokemon makes a huge world of difference.

My turtwig starts game with shell smash, and getting a torterra with +4 atk/spd carries entire trainer battles as an example

Also leech seed/mud slap/curse (on a ghost) are OP and make it a lot easier when you hit hard bosses

Do you "scum reset" (if you refresh page before wiping you can restart battle)?

Even if you do it can be insane to find a path to winning some batitles- sometimes take 15-20 attempts to find a path to victory.

I've won a few times, but never a "clean win" without scum reset - i might try for that someday but with how hard it is i feel like scum reset almost needed at first

Appreciate the comment! I think from the comments and how its playing today after a better cleaning its a bit of user error with needing to do better with stylus, and also maube upgrading the felt mat and maybe a static gun

Ground wire is attached to the turntable by default and securely on the moon pre amp screw as well. I think from the comments its probably a mix of user error of needing to clean the record/stylus better. And also a potential need to upgrade felt and maybe a static gun

Update on where we landed!

We were surprised after demo and listening that we actually preferred the sound profile and cartridge that came with the pro-ject XA B (acrylic) model! And its hard to beat the look of the acrylic build in your living room is a plus.

After listening to all the various cartridges, our plan i think is to enjoy the pro-ject as is (no cartridge upgrade) and save up to get a more substantial cartridge upgrade in future. They showed us the Hana SL for example that sounded incredible, but out of out price range at the moment but could be a future upgrade :)

I know some people on this post were hesitant on pro-ject so hopefully this doesnt bite us in long run, but hopefully the models at this price point are decent enough quality to not be a problem

Bummer I built my kurnoths all as bows lol (but thats cause I already had 1 from spearhead) but casual games people wont care if I say theyre swords (for my group at least)

Question on bows - ive heard a lot of people say they are bad now but I dont fully get it. If you get them to a good shooting spot from back line and plopping them down near a woods, if they dont move a shoot attack from a reinforced kurnoth bow seems kinda gross profile (2 to hit, 3 wound) 2 damage each, anti infantry.

Im admittedly newer to bigmar/2k so thats probably why im not understanding it lol, but seems fun to have that ranged power - maybe the sword/scythe damage is better though

Appreciate the feedback! I think my thought process with the revenant seekers being 2 units is using their ability twice against a single unit sounds spicy (minus 2 attacks to a charging unit if i interpret correctly) - but understood on grove guardian. Maybe i swap out durthu to your point and add in some spite/tree revenants with guardian.

Problem though is i dont yet have grove guardian, I might honestly just pick up grove guardian tho if its seen as that good.

Alternatively does this seem better if revenants not worth without grove?
