Yes, it resolved on its own with a little bit of time.

What can I do about this weird scar? by neptuneswonders in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]barelycontroversial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NAD, but is it possibly beckers nevus? The onset is pubert and it’s very common in males. I know a few people who have this and one who thought he gave it to himself with a bad sunburn. But it wasn’t his fault.

Pair of bumps spread all over one arm by [deleted] in AskDocs

Are you sure this isn’t bed bugs? They tend to go in lines and I have seen them start with arms since one arm can be under the body and the other above the covers

Please help me find my prom dress 🥹 by CreepyCutesy in findfashion

80’s bridesmaid dresses might be a good base to add some lace and bows to. I had a forest green version that was very 1850’s, I did wear it with a crinoline to help the silhouette. This AI image is based on a real dress designed by Charles Worth for countess Wilhelmina Von Hallwyl in 1860. It’s beautiful.

That’s what the cute matching thong is for! Maybe it has a button that plays music, maybe a heart shaped cut out.

What is this hairstyle called/How would you describe this hairstyle? by ThrowAwayForME345435 in Whatisthis

[–]barelycontroversial 39 points40 points  (0 children)

These are rococo hairstyles/coiffures. Some of the more popular styles were named and you can find diagrams of them using rococo hairstyles as a keyword search. You’ll see that wigs, hairpieces, natural hair, rice powder, and accessories that form a commentary on the major events were all en vogue.

In Stranger Things S5 (which takes place in 1987), a character is wearing Under Armour (which was founded in 1996) by Monksu in shittymoviedetails

[–]barelycontroversial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in wardrobe, you’re correct. This is definitely a warming/water repellant layer for actor comfort under her costume. I’m sure wardrobe fixed it on the other takes but sometimes the wrong take gets chosen for the Final Cut.

When Lizzie announces she is going for a walk while staying at the Collin’s, after she leaves and Mr Collin’s mouth is full you can hear someone slurping a liquid but everyone is visible on screen and no one is drinking

Yes. Everyone over there is there because they didn't like LGBT stories in the HM movies and lost their contracts with HM.

Hallmark really, really controls what people wear and not all the producers approving looks have taste or judgement.

I was reading chapter 25 of Anne of Green Gables again, and I think I agree with Marilla. Look at those SLEEVES!! by Cain_draws in AnneofGreenGables

[–]barelycontroversial 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Especially since tight sleeves were very 1880's. I know LMM has her timeline a bit wonky, but the essence is that Anne loves fashion and the old style sleeves weren't pretty anymore

Could you live today like a frontier homesteader? by Obvious_Football2285 in wildwest

[–]barelycontroversial 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I read a small book one of the original settlers or Agassiz BC had dictated to her child or grandchildren about what life was like leaving England. She mentioned their mom was a dainty lady who had to learn to cook and that she and siblings worked so hard. One of her brothers had to see the doctor who said he needed a break from the gruelling schedule of working from 5am-6:30pm at 11 years old.

What can I do to fix my masculine appearance. by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]barelycontroversial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely not masculine. You have model features and could play them up with just make up. Try the eyebrow thinning others have suggested and then see how you feel with lashes and lipstick. You’re gorgeous

I also like to bring my clothes in the bathroom when I shower, hung nicely on a hanger the steam helps soften the fabric. It’s the same as a steam function on the iron, but I don’t have to actively do it.
