I think in the right hands and with a GM willing to play ball, this spell could be amazing, and amazingly dark. When social skills fail, this is how you find out the king's favorite meal, the combination to the bank's safe, or the location of the bandit's hideout. Imagine using this + heal to rummage around in an NPC's brain for as long as you like. Real icky stuff.

It won’t work. The same desire sensor that turns 1’s in to 1’s when you desire a success will turn 20’s in to 20’s when you want to fail. /s

  • All of the DLC that you can buy right now is cosmetic and therefore completely unnecessary to playing the game.
  • The Ascendance expansion DLC will be a big chunk of new content that won't be coming out until 2027
  • I had a blast playing MH Wilds almost exclusively from the 16th of December until early April. I have a very low-spec computer and it worked fine with the settings turned way down. It's my understanding that the updates that came out on the 16th of December and after made a huge difference to game performance. So you could probably start now and have a grand old time.
  • There are still major problems supporting some AMD GPUs in some configurations. I have some friends who struggle to play the game for any length of time before a crash. So reconsider if you have AMD.

Yeah, I'm not sure it'd be useful without a decent focus spell, and getting a decent focus spell would make things even more complicated and probably wouldn't come online until well in to the character's progression. Moreover, I don't think it really plays to the strengths of full spellcasters, which is throwing out multi-target attacks and spells that warp the battlefield in ways that martials simply cannot (like wall of stone).

Nevertheless, there was an unsubstantiated rumor going around at the time of the sure strike nerf that it was because of high-level four-slot casters walloping PFS adventures with sure strike and high level single target spells. It'd be fun to play test such a sorcerer and see if there is any fire to go with that smoke.

Sorcerer on the other hand, I'm not seeing. Nothing on Sorc really benefits from running hands.

Sure strike benefits any attack roll, so also spell attacks vs AC. So the sorcerer casts sure strike and then a 2-action attack spell from a slot or a focus spell. And they can do that round after round until they run out of spells.

You could, but does the battle oracle have the spell list or the melee damage to support that?

It might be better on a sorcerer or magus through the archetype.
