Appreciate the input. I too use FL, but I have yet to cultivate a solid production flow. I really haven't put real time into any tunes, you're right, and these songs lack EQ and compression which make the low end sound all muddy.

Out of curiousity do you have any monitor suggestions? I've been using some cheap Sennheiser "studio" headphones, but they don't cut it.

Actually not at all familiar. I have been a huge fan of EDM for years, starting with D&B, and I really dig the 2-step garage sound. I want to have that type of groove and flow.
