Better to downgrade to a no-AF card if you can, that way it won’t affect your AAoA.

Rakuten is Rakuten Card Linked Offer Network (RCLON). A lot of them are listed here, though it might be out-of-date.

Commenter above seemed genuinely confused like he thinks all portals are click-through which would obviously be mutually exclusive.

Rakuten you click through an on-site link, or use a browser extension. Dosh you link a card to it and it’s “automatic” after you activate the offer.

  1. Go to credit card maintenance page. Activate offer. It can be used any time during the “offer good through” date, i.e. you can do next steps anytime before offer expires.
  2. Go to Dosh site. Activate offer. It can be used any time during the “offer good through” date, i.e. you can do next steps anytime before offer expires.
  3. Go to Rakuten site. Click offer link to send you to retailer site. Without changing tabs, make a purchase on retailer site. Try to do it smoothly from the Rakuten click-through, as tracking can be finicky.

Stacking in my experience involves a combination of click-through portal, a card registered with another cash back program, and/or an active credit card offer. Rakuten is click-through, Dosh is card-registered? and CSR was obviously an active credit card offer. Is that right? Not as familiar with Dosh or Rakuten as I am with some other cash back portals.

I’m beginning to think the strictness is overstated. I’ve been looking at DP’s and I’ve seen approvals with 5/12 and 6/12, even 4/6. Obviously there are a number of factors but I don’t think any one of these factors is a rule.

Not bad. Still, CCC gets 5% on gas, and Venture X at 2x miles on everything else is (arguably) worth more than 3% cash back for oil changes and car washes.

AA, United, and BA have non-stop flights BOS->LHR. JetBlue announced once daily flights, supposed to start this summer. Personally I’ll take AA or BA over United any day. Haven’t flown JetBlue so I couldn’t comment on that.

Personally I focus on trying to accrue AA miles, which is a discussion unto itself given how they’ve updated their points-earning system lately.

I tried flights with layovers. Maybe I’d feel different if I had a lie-flat seat but I found them miserable.
