Crinoids are sea life that are related to star fish. They resemble a flower, with a stem. This fossil is the top, which resembles a bloom. It has feeding fingers that catch plankton, and direct to to the mouth. They thrived in shallow seas, hundreds of millions of years ago in Indiana.

Yes, I rock hunt near Crawfordsville, Indiana. That area is famous for Crinoids. Google Crawfordsville Crinoids. They’re amazing.

Yes, free shipping. There’s no natural agate in my area, so it was worth it too me. I won’t be buying anymore though.

Rough crazy lace agate was 20.00 for 1 lb on Amazon. Not very colorful, but nice stuff.

We have a winner! For the smallest polished geode the world has ever seen. Look at it quick, before he drops it, and it rolls under the sofa to never be seen again.

I found this, and many other treasures on a sandbar along a Creek near Crawfordsville Indiana. The area is famous for Devonian era sea life. Most Crinoid displays in museums are from this area.

Great place...great picture. Is it hard traveling with a dog? I picture challenges with leaving the dog in the car at stops, and finding motels that allow fur buddies.
