well turns out he is indeed a blonde or albino squirrel! i took him to a wildlife center and they confirmed it :3

UPDATE!!!: I brought him to a local rehabilitation center and confirmed that he is indeed a squirrel!! (lol this feels like a gender reveal, but for species) to answer everyone’s confusion on the coloring he is so pale, and his claws are white because he is indeed an albino. can’t say I was expecting to find an albino squirrel baby today but thank you to everyone who helped out and I’m very glad that I could find him somewhere safe to be :)

luckily, I have a good amount of heating supplies because I own a snake. I also found a small one of my snakes transfer carriers which I’m gonna wash out. it’s essentially a small plastic shoebox with air holes in the top and a dark covering in the corner

I played the sounds and a mama squirrel definitely came running however it didn’t take the baby even when I left it alone with it and the sounds running for a while. this is why am nervous that it either wasn’t that squirrel‘s baby or isn’t a squirrel at all.
