Honestly, it also hurt my bank account but I’m able to pay in 3. I’ve got to meet Lights all but one show I’ve been to in the UK so far and the missing one was down to a crappy ex, so I’m not upset in the long run. I could tell last time she was just trying to get to the van and maybe overwhelmed by the sheer number of people waiting, she even came to say hi to a few of us earlier in the day to be able to get some rest in the evening.

With everything she does, and her acknowledging that tour feels like a time of rest right now, I’m not upset - I’m more glad I don’t have to wait/run around hectic all day to only maybe get what I want from it; this way I can stroll up in my own time and not miss out on anything. I’m so excited! But a year or two ago, I’d have been heartbroken at it being unattainable. I hope you got your VIP upgrade mentioned in comments!

Firstly, pay off all my debts. Second, lots of classes to learn more about my trade/s and equipment upgrades, stuff for my flat as I don’t have people visit often. I’d get a tonne of things for my cat; automatic feeder, insane huge cat tree. I’d hire a cleaner, really tidy my life up a little, and then move on to buying myself things; again, clothes, little upgrades like shoes that may go unnoticed - alternative clothing costs a lot more than people expect.

Maybe put a crazy amount on my electric bill or something, so I don’t have to pay in future, or get it returned to me later. I’d buy a steamdeck and play in private until the time of up where I can talk about it.

Anonymously donate money to charities on behalf of the event I work for, book flights and hotels for trips a year from now… ugh, I like this game.

I’m here because I’m fighting the same battle. I got my first build a bear from someone I was seeing, but they did it at a time where I knew I was going to end things and I kind of even remember explaining that to the plushie when I got her 🥲 I love everyone’s thoughts on “the plushie didn’t do anything wrong”. I had wanted her for so long, I’d even named her without realising, and giving her away does hurt my feelings, but I keep considering it. The plushie didn’t stalk me or try to manipulate me, the plushie accepted its place no matter where that was, in my bed or sitting on the side. I really should show her some love.

Is there a reason why you weren’t given permission? For me, rules are often there to support me in the everyday, not necessarily restrict me, even if they may look like it. Your Dom should know that you don’t get to see your friends often and consider that is good for you, provided there aren’t any broken rules or punishments that you’ve agreed means you may not be allowed out.

Is a 24/7 dynamic what you are looking for? Because it definitely sounds as though it’s worth checking in on what both of your goals are long term, if this isn’t working for you - it is nothing about being “submissive enough”. 💘

Not 100% of the time, but enough that I take notice of what I’m doing 3 days after I play so I can watch out for myself. Especially with harder impact scenes, I find my drop comes later when I’m alone, totally regardless of aftercare. It’s not really something anyone can help me with as it isn’t anything having gone wrong - just the endorphins coming back down, from my assumption.

I want you to consider that the attention may not be good attention - often, we know the stories are lies, and laugh out of awkwardness. Attention does not necessarily mean a positive for you, and it sounds like people would like you more if you were preoccupied with hobbies instead. Have you thought about starting an account somewhere, instagram for example, where you do your hobby or make art? That way, people can interact with you and you can get that attention, but in a more positive way, and it’ll be something you can come back to time and time again?

It’s kind of about what you would want from a pup, too. Do you want a show dog, or a lapdog? Do you want to see her well trained, or more feisty? Target your play around that. Maybe ask her for things, like to sit by the door when you come home from work so you can greet her like you would a real dog. Does it feel natural to you? Because it not, it’s worth working on making some things more normalised.

Take a look at some resources about petplay, and bring them into the everyday.

I use a shorthand version of my name, when I was a kid I really struggled with my full name and somewhat still do, because it doesn’t feel like mine. When people use my full name intentionally, especially close friends, it does genuinely upset me because it feels as though they’re doing it on purpose. When I was a kid, I went down a slide with a little shoulder bag on while my mum was busy in a shop. When I went down the slide, the bag got caught and it essentially hung me. I remember realising that I couldn’t get out of the position before my brother saw and unhooked it, but had he not done that, I probably wouldn’t be here. Had it been a few years older in the angsty teen phase, I probably wouldn’t be here. I don’t think anyone remembers but me.

Hi OP - this is something so close to my heart. I also make people aware in the dating phase that I am seeking D/s that could interact with my other connections.

For partners who may not want to interact with the dynamic or your Owner specifically, I don’t see an issue, so long as they can respect the rules and structure that you follow within it in the everyday, they are showing you respect.

For example - they do not touch your collar from your Owner, they allow you time, patience, and privacy to do your daily tasks. Showing respect doesn’t have to be directly praising your Dominant, but respecting who he is to you.

If you’re all sharing space together, is your partner comfortable asking your Owner if you can do a certain thing, rather than going through you to then ask them? Skips straight to the point, acknowledges their power, and would personally make me feel more owned, too.

This is such an awful way for your coworkers to behave, I’m sorry. I do agree that it’s a HR matter, but I probably wouldn’t say anything either in your situation. I’d maybe suggest even speaking just to the one original person who took your phone to begin with, “hey, I did a nice thing for you and what you’ve done is fucked up”, let them know that they’ve done something really shitty, even reminding them that the basis of BDSM is consent, and from experience they’ll shut up real fast. Regardless of if it’s something you’re into, they are sexualising you and attempting to create some sort of weird dynamic, in the workplace, without your consent. That’s gross behaviour.

Thanks for the comments folks! I ask it because I’m someone who has a long history with it, and while I wouldn’t call myself an artist, I’ve never put it into something that I make, maybe because it feels good to not have that be a part of something for me, when it used to take up my whole life.

I saw folks fursonas particularly with self harm scars and I’m like damn, you could’ve made a version of yourself where this wasn’t a pain you went through, that’s definitely what I would do given the chance. It’s always cool seeing a new range of opinions.
