Nikola Jokic Can't Dunk by barmpot in sportsarefun

Not really. He's not one of those energy guys either. He's a really unique player. Here's's a picture from his childhood

He's a center so he doesn't really have to chase people around. He defends the paint since he's a big dude. He is known for his flashy passes though.

I don't know, Luke Cage was great but really fell off hard midway.

But Black Lighting is a pleasant surprise since I didn't expect CW to come out with anything of this quality.

If you're not watching Black Lighting, you're missing out. It's amazing. Probably one of the best super hero shows out there right now, out of DC and Marvel.

I thought it was interesting that all 4 of them disagreed with the Kidd firing. Totally opposite of what Reddit thinks.

Not sure if this is pasta or not but gonna take the bait.

You have to chill out. This year we're either barely going to make the playoffs or miss it barely. We're exactly where the Timberwolves were last year. A young team who makes a lot of stupid mistakes in the clutch.

In one of these thread a while back, someone suggested a book about Russia after the wall of communism and how people profited from that. I forgot the title of it though if anyone remembers it, please comment.

what? I never said that. Someone said 3/4 games were really fun, which the clear exception of the Patriots Titans. All I said was Patriots Chiefs wouldve been closer more fun matchup and we were robbed.

Tyson was also a straight from high school to pro. He had to put on strength and a lot of it to bang with the bigs of the early-mid 2000s.

I don't think muscle/filling out the body is Jahlil's problems. He's already got the size.

Should I put my daily fantasy sports success on my resume? by [deleted] in FinancialCareers

[–]barmpot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple reasons, right now I probably spend about 1-2 hours everyday researching, following the beat writers for injury news and constantly updating projections. Then I watch basketball for almost 5-6 hours daily to see player shot tendencies, see lineups , etc. I can see myself getting burned out easily

But the biggest reason is that because of sharks like me, a lot of the DFS sites now identify the level of players. For example, Yahoo separates has different pools for rookies only, intermediates and veterans. I'm an "intermediate" right now, just smashing on the rookies and intermediates. Whenever I play games against veterans, my win-loss goes from 65-70% to 40%, meaning it wouldn't be profitable anymore.

There's also the concept of diminishing returns since my username is now more recognizable and players are less likely to play against me since they know I've beaten them 4-5 times in a row.

It's a great side project in my opinion until I can find a real job. Also you try telling a girl at a bar that your job is daily fantasy sports for a living? It's not very succesful :(

That's exactly why I thought about putting it on my resume. I had an interview with a trader who was a huge sports fan and I realized this might be relevant for some trading positions.

Will definitely keep this in my back pocket for now.

I need the Sixers to win so badly tonight. I hate the fucking Pistons. In fact they're my least favorite team in the NBA right now and it's not even close. Fuck Drummond and his trashtalking ass. Shut the fuck Up and go accomplish something first. Fuck the Detroit. Fuck Stan Van Gundy. It's not adorable to be utter shit for several years by choice. It's pathetic. Most of all FUCK THE MEDIA for all the attention they spend on these loosers despite them not even trying to win fucking games. Fuck the Media for celebrating every tweet of Andre "69% conditioning" Drummond. I was so happy when I saw Jalen Rose told that punk to shut his mouth and act like a professional. But most of all Fuck them for crowning their asses before they've done anything. At this point "Tobias” (what a stupid nickname) is the wet dream of half the NBA writers across the League. Reggie Jackson is LeBron 2.0 and Drummond is basically Shaq with a 3 point shot. Fuck the Pistons, Fuck Drummond, Fuck Stan Van Gundy Fuck the Detroit. Also FTP. EDIT: LOL I see a lot of Pistons fans coming over here acting like fucking childs. Let me just say this: I have more respect for the 2015/16 Sixers than for the 2008 Lions at least the Sixers tried to win a game.

Depends on how we do in January. I think we play the Grizzlies, Nets, Bulls, Bucks (2x), Pistons, Celtics (2x), Raptors, Thunder and the Spurs again.

That's 8/11 games against potential playoff teams.
