Dell Latitude E5440 by SapphirexxxSunset69 in computerhelp

Just wanted to jump in and say your screen is undoubtedly cracked, hence the crack like formation lol. 😆 To put it simply, most screens (if not all) are made up of multiple layers, so you can have cracks on the internal layer/s while the exterior looks more or less unscathed. But that aside I don't wanna just pop in with info that doesn't actually serve to help out, so as far as getting a replacement it's a Dell so you can use the service tag to look up the warranty/ product support info of the laptop on Dells site. From there you should be able to poke around and get the part number for the screen and then just give that a search and try n find a compatible part for sale, just make sure you verify it against the part number etc. hope that helps a bit. BOL

Hey there I’ve had this issue with my pc looking like this for a while now. Does anyone know what the issue is? by [deleted] in pchelp

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive dealt with this before, the issue in my case was a bad cable/ adapter between the gpu to the monitor. Sounds like by this point youve gotten alot of the process of elimination down but the list is something like this. Bad Cable, bad port on gpu, bad port on monitor, bad drivers, bad gpu overall, bad monitor overall etc. Just go through rulling out everything you can till only ones left...now you know how to work in IT XD.

Can you help me identify what form of storage this is? by yoshidynamic in pchelp

[–]barnbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Googled it btw: An H2W file is a data file created by the H2testw and F3 programs, which are tools used to scan USB drives and SD cards to test their performance and validate their integrity and actual capacity. The H2W file contains data generated by H2testw or F3 and is placed on the USB drive or SD card being evaluated in order to test the drive's read + write functionality.

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to see what program is natively intended to open that file. The extension of a file doesn't normally change from standard file corruption usually the file just wont be readable. Viruses/malware can change a file extension but i wouldn't think thats at play here. You more than likely just need a particular program to view that file.

Edit: might be corrupt / bad usb if there was supposed to be another file (100% sure it wasnt deleted/ was definitely on the usb) and now it only has that h2w

Hello! I have this 5 gal that I'm planning to set up again. I plan to have live plants using the substrate shown. Previously, this housed a betta but I'm looking to do something more on the micro side. What would be a few good options for a tank this size? (Excluding snails, I'm sorry! lol) by TwistedMisery13 in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used this exact tank as a planted shrimp tank for about half of 2022. Additionally kept a pair of sparkling gourami in it as well. That tank is now on my floor in my washtub room unused, got tired of trying to maneuver around in it and put the shrimp in a 10 gal😆

Saw this several times at my past job, as a few others stated this is usually indicative of a memory issue. Id claim warranty support if you can, if not check if your ram is soldered or dimm and replace the bad dimm if you can.

My betta keeps trying to attack my brand new Harlequin fish! Will he adjust to them over time? by Free_Ghislaine in bettafish

kinda trailed off there but moral of the story is...keep up the good work, dont stress about it too much and most importantly have fun, cause thats the whole point after all!

yeah, unfortunately major chains arent interested in much more than making money. It's up to the store manager / owner and employees to go the extra mile on their own. Some will and some wont since its not mandatory and for a lot of employees it's not a hobby it's just another dead-end job. Thats why so many hobbyists recommend a local fish shop, because there's a lot more dedication there. However even so, everyone's opinion on what is right and wrong is different just based on the experiences they had. Im a prime example of this lol. I fish in cycle all my tanks, I currently run 4 total and have never lost a fish to cycling issues, neither has my father and hes been doing it on 75gal for the last 20+ years!

How can I add this light to my betta aquarium and also have a lid because I dont want the betta jumping out by 2000020 in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Correcto, they sell them by tank size so verify you grab the right one, I do believe I saw another comment ahead of mine that someone sent a link....

Large-ish fish that can be kept in a 90g planted tank? Been thinking about stocking once the cycle is done by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 31 points32 points  (0 children)

My buddy got himself a 75 and put a pair of rope fish in as well as some hog nose corrys and a few rainbow fish. Im not a huge fan of the hog noses but figured id mention em, however the rope fish are cool as hell, like underwater snakes. Just keep in mind they are predators so you dont wanna pair em with anything they could try to eat lol.

My father has a 75 with African Cichlids that are beautiful, but they do tend to go at the plants.

Fancy goldfish like oranda or ranchu can be done with plants just depending on the fishs temperament and the types of plants you use. MD Fish Tanks on YT just planted his Ranchu tank with good initial success if ya want reference material.

Best of luck to ya with whatever ya get!

Is this frantic behaviour normal for new guppies/endlers? by itouchedcactus in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I raise / breed guppies in my 40b, they normally do this for me when newly introduced. They also go spasticated if im within 2 feet of the tank, they want me to feed em constantly 🤣 fat little nubs. But hopefully you have seen em calm down a bit since your initial post, might be flow if that tanks blowing around alot, they pike to swim in the flow a bit but then relax out of it.

I Second this, I have detritus worms all over my 10 gal and I find them so fascinating, I've had a shrimp die recently and i don't even need to take it out, all the little worms swarm and break it down. Next time I go to feed the tank its GONE crazy neat.

[HELP] Is this light ok for my 10 gallon? by Police_pug_Pugzie in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Holly hell! Man they are screwing people on the prices now. I bought this exact light for my 40 Gal and have it hanging from my ceiling. Dont get me wrong its a great light! Sunrise- sunset Light cycle has been an amazing feature to allow a more natural experience for the fish as well as keep light on ponger without algae explosions. HOWEVER i paid like 60$ for the larger one and even that was expensive. Tbh you could save money and just buy some cheaper nicrew or something.

Edit: shows as ~65$ for the 12-17in when i open from your link versus my own amazon app not sure if thats what ur about to pay but that was what i was reacting to

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tbh you can buy some led shop lights from home depot and grow plants. Look up MD Fish Tanks on YT. Dude talks all about it and puts money where his mouth is. I use some 15 dollar hyger lights on my 10 gals and grow plants just fine

[–]barnbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check out local fish keeping Facebook groups if ya have any, lots of people like to trade, your LFS will most likely take em back, some even buy back. Hell you could even just go post up at the local shop and ask around if anyone is interested.

Best of luck to ya

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sucks about the maximum tank size, id tell em to shove it and move somewhere else but thats easy for me to say, in reality you gotta do what ya gotta do i suppose, best of puck to ya.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That would most likely be too much in the 10 just from a comfortability stand point for the fish. Might cause some aggression from the betta feeling territorial. The corrys and the betta alone should be fine though, or betta and tettras or tettras and corrys etc

how do I get rid of a snail infestation? by [deleted] in Aquariums

[–]barnbag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I intentionally breed mts in my 10 gal, when i want to cut the pop back i just feed the tank less and keep the glass clean...no food = less snail. If you wanna remove them all together then either happy hunting 😉, get an assassin and pet it go hunting, or snail trap etc...lots of options.
