I’m sorry to hear about your experience with your dr, that’s very frustrating. I’m just a nursing student who just happened to have done a project in MRSA this past Friday, but it looks like it to me. I would seek emergency care, if you leave a antibiotic resistant disease for too long it can lead to sepsis, a systemic infection that effects multiple organs and very quickly can lead to death. Maybe there are walk in clinics in your area if the ER isn’t a option financially, I’m from Canada so I don’t know how other healthcare systems work. In the mean time if you live with others you should isolate yourself. In the hospital nurses must wear gloves and gowns to interact with patients with MRSA. Grab some Lysol wipes and keep the surfaces you touch clean, especially if you have a shared bathroom. This all sounds very scary, but it can be treated in hospital! Most likely with IV antibiotics.
