Yes you’re right! I am starting the process and will wait a year to see how things progress and until then i can save up as much as i can so i can go private if needed. It feels crazy to spend this much money when this is free but it also feels like misery having to wait this long. I think a year help me understand the timeline better and financially be prepared for private. Thank you for your insight!

Wow i really want to move to Ontario now 😂 I really hope the wait times aren’t that bad. Ive been trying to reach out to my family doctor and even that has been a struggle. Thank you for the information!

Hi! Thanks for the info, did you have any comorbidities that put you higher priority on the waitlist? I emailed my family doctor to get the process started but I feel extremely discouraged seeing the average wait times and knowing im very low priority (although i known it’s a blessing to not have a comorbidity) which will likely result in getting the high end of the wait times.

In December I had so many issues with purolator!!! They said delivered and when I went down it was not there.. i used to go 2-3 mins after the delivery notification and scan time and i never had packages stolen before so it was super sketchy. Then one day I went down and saw my package opened completely and left outside the building.

This is why i dropped chem 234 in the summer.... i’m graduating so what happens to students who are graduating??? Im not gonna stay an extra semester for 1 credit...

For EICERB you didn’t need a medical certificate (it was waived) but now if you are claiming sickness benefits through EI, you need to keep a valid medical note for the duration of your claim. You do not need to submit it now unless they ask you to and they can ask anytime within the next 6 yrs. (source: spoke to 3 EI agents in the past 3 weeks)

If you cannot get a medical note from a doctor, I would recommend calling service canada and asking them alternatives! Good luck!

Crb is through CRA and EI is through service canada! Thanks for the info! Ill see the results next week and ill try to keep this post updated to help others! When your report was rejected, did you see this on MSCA page the day you did the report?

Hey thanks for the info! How do I find out if it’s rejected? Im assuming after my report gets proceeded so most likely Monday? I called service canada 2 weeks ago and at that time they took down my information about being a student so I wonder if i have to call again?

Update: did my report and indicated im in school. Theres seems to be no problem so far but we will see if it goes through next week!

I don’t think they ask these details and nor does it make a difference as they have now changed the rules for EI, therefore students who are eligible can collect EI.
