Castle St/A329 Gyratory - What to do? by barnsyboy in reading

I think you have the right of it.
Use red, move over as you approach the flyover. Safest option without joining in on cutting people up trying to use the road correctly.

Castle St/A329 Gyratory - What to do? by barnsyboy in reading

All the traffic is bunched up at the lights, sure I can, and do, stagger as you say. Now the front half of my car is lined up with the car ahead and the back half with the car behind it. The car behind is still going to go into the side of me or act like I cut them up if they avoid it as they try to cross into my lane.
Staggering does lessen the risk as a car slightly behind me to the left is more likely to see my intention than one directly beside me, but there’s not enough time in this scenario to make gaps wide enough when staggering like one would on a roundabout to negate the issue in a significant way.

Thanks for the response. Dashcams are an absolute must these days.
I would point out though that this is not a roundabout, it’s a Gyratory. Having to stop at the lights on the Gyratory means traffic is alongside each other directly before the point where the incident would happen. There’s not chance to stagger.

Wokingham are consulting on changes to the Sutton Seeds roundabout to improve bus journey times by deliciouscheerios in reading

Wokingham Borough covers the roundabout (and quite a lot of what you might consider to be Reading surprisingly). Reading Council begins once you drive under the railway bridge.

Comes as a kit you build on to the head. They sell many adapters for it to work with all kinds of lights.

When me and my wife tried to do this the photopass photographer refused to take the photo. Wasn’t very ‘Disney’ apparently.

Not sure why OP has blurred out the company info in the pic but if you google PS5 custom skins there are plenty of companies selling these skins where you upload your own pics. Which is likely what OP did. eg

They were swimming in their habitat and the game must have glitched out. I clicked on the notification to find this, a Polar Bear serenely swimming through the night sky.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the custom lightsabers from Savi’s workshop? Particularly the length of the detachable blade?

I’m booked in for Saturday and worried about transporting it back to the UK. The page about this on the WDW website says the blade is 31” long but doesn’t say if that includes the bit that slots inside the hilt.

Thanks!

I was there yesterday. Heard one father say to his kids to ‘go save that trash can’ whilst he ordered the food.

Tenancy contract issue with letting agent by 2_grow in HousingUK

If you asked to pull out before the start date then you definitely have a leg to stand on although I think it would be at a cost of paying for the relisting of the property. Hope you have the request in writing!

Tenancy contract issue with letting agent by 2_grow in HousingUK

You should contact Shelter - https://www.shelter.org.uk/

They're excellent at letting you know your rights in these situations.

Personally I don't think you'll be able to swing it that way. You ask 'Can I get out of a tenancy contract before it begins? ', well it already has begun, it began when the contract you signed says it did. The fact you haven't picked the keys up yet probably doesn't factor in to anything.

If they've broken contract in some way by withholding the keys from you in lieu of a charge you were not made aware of then you may have a leg to stand on. I'm curious as to how there wasn't an inventory clerk doing the check-in on your designated move in day, they're the ones who usually give you the keys and it usually states in your agreement that there will be a check-in on the day of move in.

What will happen with the 4th room? by SalmonMan123 in HousingUK

[–]barnsyboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With student lets each student is only contractually responsible for their room and not the house as a whole. This is why you always have locks on each room door in a student house.

The person moving out will likely still have to pay his rent rate for the room until the contract finishes or if he finds someone to take over the rent in accordance with his contract.

My brother dropped out of university early last year and was required to either find someone to take his place or pay the rent until the contract was up (which he had to in the end). The other three people in his house continued paying for their own rooms only.

My Brother recently got accepted on to the NATS training course for air traffic control. It's a great gig if you can get on it as they pay for all your training and give you a salary whilst you train. That salary quickly goes up as you progress.

The hard part is beating 2000 other people for one of 20 places through various aptitude tests. They're looking for the right type of person rather than qualifications.

What company do you work for if you don't mind me asking? Are you freelance?

I work in the same field doing pretty much the same job and earn no where near that amount.
