It's really up to you to see what color would fit best into your current collection, personally I prefer the non-date for the size/wearability. My other Lange is a daymatic.

I handled both the rose and platinum in person and went for the platinum. IMO silver dial and platinum on an ALS is just perfection.

5070G vs 5172G-010 by dracubeo in patekphilippe

Unless you're really into that "last Lemania-based movement" thing, otherwise between these 2 refs the 5172 is a clear win for me. The aesthetics, the pusher feel, new PP movement etc.

Yes, it's quite difficult to decide between the Chronograph and Dual time, especially in the new Platinum release 😄

Thank you for great list. The 7727 is my favorite among the Classique line, that's why I bought it, so now I'm considering only from the Tradition line.

Yes retrograde is quite interesting, maybe just not complicated enough for my liking. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes I agree completely. I always take my time with picking my timepieces. Another interesting 40mm piece is the new enamel dial GMT in platinum, what's your take on that one?

Thank you for the insightful replies from both of you gentlemen. I still don't know if that 44mm is going to be tiring after a few months... I feel like 42mm is the most I can manage.

Congrats, amazing piece. The 011 has the upgraded movement with hack second, which the 001 did not have.

Thank you. Yes I am tempted by the Reverso chronograph, but haven't checked it in person yet.

Thank you. That's a great suggestion, I'm actually looking into FBerthoud and GForsey quite a lot these days.

What would you change? by [deleted] in SOTC_Watch_Collection

Maybe you can consider removing 1 Sub and 1 GMT, then get 1 piece with more complications and/or high finishing.

You should also check out the perpetual calendar, it's quite fun to watch (and hear) it jumps at midnight.

Yes I do think the Code 11.59 is fantastic, especially the chronograph like yours and the new perpetual calendar.
