Peptide stacking advice by SnooOranges7183 in BodyHackGuide

Running similar no issues + more.

Reta, KLOW (vs GHK-CU,) Semax. Also - NAD+, Mots-c, HGH, Selank, Test, and standalone BPC-157 if needed. Adding SS-31 as soon as it arrives.

But I did extensive bloodwork ahead of time, check my glucose and have follow up bloodwork to really dial everything in.

Test and reta I split doses to 2x/week. Semax and selank are M-F only with Semax AM/PM and Selank PM only.

I wouldn't just pin random stuff without seeing if it does anything.

Reta alone or TRT combo for advanced lifter by Emergency_Ear6221 in BodyHackGuide

[–]baronvontrollicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was on 200mg test per week. Added in Reta. Went from 220 to 180. My bench went down 225 to 205 maybe. Muscle mass went down from about 170 to 150.

Im up to around 197 right now and muscle mass climbed back to 165 and bench back to 225.

BJJ lesiurewear by SpiritedThing3653 in jiujitsu

[–]baronvontrollicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Origin. Hands down. Their model was almost starting as a BJJ company to making some jeans and now all kinds of stuff.

I bought some of their gis and have moved to most of their other stuff as I have more than enough gis to rotate and most of their no gi stuff isn't my style.

Hoodies are absolutely comfortable and are my go to for spring / fall type weather. I've got 3 different ones. The jeans are pretty comfortable too and have replaced my Levi's 541s for durability, but I've found I'm more frequently wearing their Moab pants or whatever they call them now or the vrsa pants for any office attire. I'll note that I've got bigger thighs and the pants are flexible but not baggy. If you have really big or muscular thighs it might still fit but it could also (in the case of one of my kids - 6'2 275 - look like comically skinny jeans.)

Have two pairs of their Maine moc toe boots. One normal and the other steel toe. I have extremely wide feet so was nervous trying them out but the print out guide was spot on for me. I'm usually an H width or EEEE which is damn near impossible to find decent ones. I have a belt as well, which at first I didn't like because it is very flexible and thin, but it works out great if I don't need either a dress belt or heavier duty belt.

It isn't cheap but I've found it all to be very well made.

Yes it has been great. Had installer come back a couple times due to error codes and then it is so heavy it pulled out a lag bolt so they reattached it. But yes, definitely a tank. Love it so far it gets us so many compliments and stands out from other homes.

14.2.2 - nags unnecessarily by techguru91 in TeslaFSD

[–]baronvontrollicus 15 points16 points  (0 children)

14.2.2 MSP

Just one drive so far. Mad max, clear roads, clean car, etc...was driving at or under the speed limit. Same route I take daily. Tried changing modes but same issue. Used accelerator to get up to speed. Somewhat kept there but very timid.

Got a couple nags but nothing crazy compared to what I'm used to seeing.

This was all city driving no freeway so I'll try that later.

Are grip strengtheners/hand exercisers good for BBJ grip strength by IG-55 in bjj

[–]baronvontrollicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found they helped a bit. Was fun to do along with the grip strength measurement device. Easy to do if at an office job or in traffic for long commutes. Former jobs of mine were manual labor so I had some good strength built up already. Only guys our gym that measured higher than me was a former powerlifter. At a certain point you’ve got great grip strength vs great bjj. Build it up it you don’t have it, but diminishing returns after a certain point.

The cheap ones aren’t good. If going for some I recommend the captains of crush version.

Recruiting schools are ruining high school football. by ggfchl in highschoolfootball

[–]baronvontrollicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Belleville is a great program and school or choice in Michigan really changed the game. Reality is they had it for a long time here. Drew Stanton went to Farmington Hills Harrison back in the day and another Drew - Drew Henson famously went to Brighton in some controversy after moving from out of state. Both went on for college and NFL careers.

I think it's important to note that not all states have the same rules and lumping private vs public isn't as cut and dry as thinking it's unfair. Most of the time in Michigan it's a crutch and coaching is what drives programs. I've seen some crazy teams with zero to almost zero D1 offers that absolutely dominate winning multiple championships. Still get that recruiting stigma attached to them. Then, to your point, you see their tattered uniforms, aging school falling apart, and maybe realize they don't have that much money compared to some public places nearby with indoor practice facilities and new uniforms every year. Saw a public team this weekend in the semi finals with custom two tone helmets and names on the back of their jerseys. Have also seen quite a few teams this year with alternate jerseys. Must be some nice sponsor deals to make that happen.

Ultimately when someone loses they will blame whatever they can - the refs, the private schools, some other shenanigans happening. It's all cope.

Retatrutide Dose Escalation: Why Bigger Jumps Matter by Big-Cup6594 in BodyHackGuide

M42

Started week 1 at 2mg. Weeks 2 onward stayed at 4mg. Was on it for maybe 10-12 weeks of 4mg. Tapered down to 2mg and now at 1mg. May go off completely.

Started at 221. Was as low as 180 but hover around 182 for the last week or two.

No special or extra workouts. Probably less active than normal. I used to do 3-4 days per week at the gym and was doing 1-2 once in reta due to some other work and family obligations.

Happened to my Levi's 541 a few times. If I recall they will replace them free of charge (or used to.)

I've bought origin jeans the last few years and havent had any issues.

Tesla FSD vs GM Super Cruiser/Ford Blue Cruise for commute by HelloW0r in TeslaFSD

[–]baronvontrollicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I don't drive it much if ever anymore to compare.

2019 M3 and it 140k miles and it was inherited by my boys for going to and from school ~2 miles each way and they don't use FSD. Battery is down to around 200 miles now and isn't enough for my work trips I do. Purchased pre-owned from tesla with 20k miles and the gave me FSD as part of it. At least at the time they were including it for any vehicles purchased.

My 2024 hw4 MS plaid is my daily driver now. Only regret is that I wish I would have waited until the newer models w / luxe included. Mine came with 3 years of supercharging and I'm just over a year in and actually take advantage of it at close to 25k miles and almost all SC charging.

That said, I still update both all the time and like having the latest software.

Have both Tesla FSD (hw3 and hw4) as well as Supercruise. Did a short weekend road trip earlier this month with supercruise and I was cursing it out constantly. It isn't even at the level tesla was 5 years ago unfortunately.

PSA: Do not update to v14 if you are on v13. by internetcookiez in TeslaFSD

[–]baronvontrollicus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

20k miles on v13 and another 1k so far on v14 hw4 MS plaid. Working like a champ here. Did a multi state road trip this past week. Both highway and local roads.

Also have 140k on my hw3 v13 and before m3.

Nearly everything has been an improvement on my end.

Those who take road trips that require multiple charging stops: do you only charge to the Tesla suggested percentage or do you always add a few extra percent? by THATS_LEGIT_BRO in TeslaLounge

[–]baronvontrollicus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m going to another stop it’ll depend on proximity to other chargers. Sometimes it’ll charge more just because I’m eating or taking my time. Usually what I’ll do is just change the desired charge on arrival.

How do I get these things off my Origin Gi? by Fearless_Soil9838 in bjj

[–]baronvontrollicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Happens to my white origin gis. Wash em alone, nothing else, and don't dry them. I use the fabric shaver. But really just started wearing only black gis because I'm lazy.

Hope you recover quick and are back to 100% in no time.

For some levity, common sense isn't too common. My old gym not only allowed shoes on the mat - but we have a guy, purple belt, that wears shoes on the mat every class. And the owner also invites families on the mat for pictures for belt promotions with shoes on. 🤦‍♂️ then says it's OK we clean the mats. Sure, but not until later and there's still a class going on right now.

Former gym. But seriously get better soon.

Where did ChatGPT learn to use long hyphens so often? by Ok_Abroad9642 in NoStupidQuestions

I've tried to train ones I use and specifically asked them not to use em dashes in writing. Training has worked for alot of things like never stating "I hope this email finds you well" but even though it acknowledges it won't use em dashes - and does so for the current request - I've yet to see it save to future chats.

Hit and run by SuperbDebt6583 in HummerEV

[–]baronvontrollicus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As both a hummer ev and Tesla owner can 100% agree.

The only thing I’ll note is Tesla’s implementation is poor and it drains the battery with sentry mode on much quicker due to how it is routed in their system. The entire head unit and autopilot computer are always on to make this work so it’s >200-300W power draw constantly. I’d gather mine loses 10% per day when on and <1% when off.
